Christian’s not a tiny guy. Standing at 6’2, he strikes an impressive figure. And he’s not one of those tall and skinny guys, either. Though he would like to be able to say he doesn’t, Christian works out avidly, and its quite easy to tell. He adores the wilderness and exercise and all that other good stuff, so he has built up quite a bit of muscle from it all. With all of that going for him, it’s natural that he is fairly graceful. Sure, occasionally his size gets in the way of things, but as a general rule, he can make his way through anything with poise and balance. With that comes his strength, and Christian wouldn't be hard pressed to lift anything too heavy nor would it be difficult to pack a hefty punch.
With working out comes a sense of practicality and that is how Christian generally dresses; very practical. He is not a fan of bold or bright colors and usually goes for simple white or black. Frequently, he can be seen with no shirt at all [he can pretend that he hasn't an ego, but that has never been and will never be true], just walking around in his ever present jeans. And jeans are definitely a necessity; if he is ever spotted in anything else, it generally means that someone has died or forced him to attend a formal function [which, really, could amount to the same thing].
A common source of annoyance for Christian, his hair is a bright blonde. While he has no problem with blondes, he often finds that it makes him a little bit less intimidating than he could be. While he would assure everyone that he never tried to be intimidating, that would be a lie and his distaste for his hair proves that, just a tad. At least his eyes are brown, he thinks, for plenty of people find blue or green eyes to be "different" and "intriguing," which also totally dissuades his intimidation. Of course, people also find them fierce and mysterious, but whatever. You can't have everything.personality
Christian would never describe himself as an asshole, per se, but he doesn’t consider himself the nicest guy ever, either. He is not afraid to say what he thinks, though he generally just can’t summon up the desire to do so. He finds that most people are not worth his time, since most people tend to find him intimidating. And with his size and the ever-present glare, who can really blame them? Christian has never been out to make people like him; he’s had circles of friends that he is comfortable in, but he’s never been too uncomfortable leaving them or too eager to get back in. Anyone he can intimidate, he will, and he will thus not make any effort to befriend them. He will not frequently ignore an effort, though he will casually discourage it in the most subtle way he can..usually. Occasionally, he gets a bit unsubtle, and that's when people tend to think he's a jerk.
With that, he can be quite agressive. He is, after all, male and can be territorial and defensive of himself and his surroundings. He is the best at everything manly, obviously, because he is filled with way more testosterone than you, so back off. He is not afraid to get into a fight if he needs to [and yes, he's been in a fair few fights and has the very slightly crooked nose to prove it] and he will verbally abuse anyone necessary. He's also very reckless and will not hesitate to pursue adventure at almost any cost. Added to this agression, however, is a slightly protective side. Anyone he sees as weaker [and worth protecting], he will defend as best as possible. He has a particular soft spot for girls, even if he isn't hitting on them. And really, he is fairly bad at hitting on people. He doesn't really do it often, though he'll flirt, and most of the time, when he does, he's not doing so seriously.
If he is anything, Christian is sarcsatic. No one is really safe from his biting remarks, even if he likes you, and no one is safe from his taunts. He has a certain dangerous quality about him, which helps his intimidation factor, obviously, and is very good at giving threats. He does not, however, give idle threats, so when he does make a fairly concrete one [as in, not one of the fluffy, clever retorts he might give to someone], it is prudent to listen. Actually, it's often prudent to listen to Christian, as he isn't stupid and usually has smart things to say. Of course, he also often has mean things to say, which one could argue shouldn't actually be listened to, but hey. What doesn't kill you makes you stronger, right? And this is a survival of the fittest world. Just as Christian.family & history

HISTORY:
The Chevalier family was never very well off. Gregoire and Anne lived in Dijon, France, which was where their one and only child was born. Christian was only about a month old when they started packing up for their first move, to Bordeaux, which was where he spent his first few formative years. He was a fairly quiet child, though like all little boys, he had his rowdy moments. In general, though, his parents never had any discipline problems with him. He played well with other children, too, and was as social as any small boy can be expected to be.
When he was three, the family packed up and moved again, this time across the channel to merry England. This move took them to Birmingham, where they spent the next few years. Christian, though he missed his old friends, was still a child and obviously not one to dwell on such things. Thus, he made new friends and grew up and did little boy things while his parents tried their hardest to have a better life. For the reason they had moved to England had not, in fact, been to follow Gregoire's parents, but to try and make a new living. Gregoire had recently lost his job and it was taking a toll on everyone, though they tried their hardest not to let Christian know and not to fall in their parently duties.
Unfortunately, it was difficult, and as Christian was just getting to the stage of giving his first crush a frog, Gregoire and Anne were moving again, this time to Surrey. Being older, he was a little more aware of what he was leaving behind, but he got used to it. And got even more used to it when, unable to carry on working yet again, they moved to Ealing. Their financial status was not getting any better and even Christian, who they were working so hard to try and hide from it, was starting to notice. Of course, it could have had something to do with the fact that, more and more, he found himself coming home to babysitters or various neighbors instead of his parents, but they thought, as long as he was taken care of, they were doing okay.
And no one could say that they didn't try as, from between seven and eleven, they moved around England like a hopscotch board, getting new jobs and leaving old jobs and saving and spending and all manner of other monetary gestures. Unfortunately, however, all of this came to a close as, on one fateful night, on their way home from work, they got into a fatal accident. Christian was with his grandparents at the time, who he stayed with for the rest of the week. He was devastated, naturally, but he had grown used to adapting and so was no trouble at all to his grandparents, who ended up taking him in. After the funeral, he started a new school back in Surrey, where his grandparents lived, and attended happily there.
Until, that is, he started getting into trouble. Christian had always been a good boy and had never caused his parents any unusual problems, but he had also been excellent at slipping into social circles. And this time, he picked the wrong circle. Soon, he was picking fights, getting into fights, and all sorts of things. He was made a more agressive and exciting target/bully because he had spent the past few years of grandparental living enrolled in martial arts as their way of making sure he had extra curriculars. Added to that, he had always been a skilled hunter [his grandfather had been making sport and hobby of it since he was little] and there was no weakness he seemed unable to spot.
They tried to stop it, but Helene and Claude were really just too old. So, when he was fifteen, they pulled him from his school and shipped him off to Somnium, where they were assured that discipline problems like their beloved grandson's old friends were not in existence.dream form
Christian relies very heavily on his intimidation to get what he wants so, in the dream world, that's taken away. He looks like himself, yes, but only in face, really. His stature is much less severe, he is about half a foot shorter, and his muscles are all but gone. He is still fairly strong, since he uses his strength to help people enough, but no one would know it by looking at him.
