Anna Williams
Doubt is the beginning, not the end, of Wisdom.
Character Basics
NICKNAMES: Anne, Annabeth
AGE: 34
GROUP: Teacher
YEAR: First year
BIRTHDAY: August 28th
GENDER: Female
Appearance
Anna is your stereotypical looking teacher - complete with a tight bun in her hair and glasses. She has dirty blond hair with a bold black streak heading from the top of her head. Occasionally, when she's been involved in a project for too long, her hair will become frazzled and unkempt, but she makes an effort to keep the people seeing her as such to a minimum.
She wears only solid colors and always black pants or skirt. Never wearing a print or t-shirt, even when she was young, she has been told that her sense of style was that she had no sense of style, which worked for her. She never really thought of herself as exceptionally beautiful nor ugly, but one who blends in.
Personality
Anna is an observer. She takes her time before acting on any situation, being sure to understand it fully before changing it. Due to her passive stances, she as a tendency to be seen as weak, especially among her peers.
She, on the other hand, prefers to see herself as professional. When she enters a new situation, she finds who has the authority and learns quickly to respect that authority. Knowing her place in life has always been a struggle and a goal, and teaching may just be that sanctuary and outlet she has sought.
Her true desire is to teach Earth Sciences, but the School needed an English teacher, so that was what she applied for. She tries to be a useful person to have around, keeping a well rounded education and intentionally blending in. Any attention she draws is entirely unwanted, save for her students' attention in the classroom.
Family & History
FATHER: Louis Williams the Third, 64, retired.
MOTHER: Kaitlyn Williams, 62, accountant.
SIBLINGS: She has four siblings, and is the middle child.
OTHER FAMILY: Aunt Maralynn, 58, lives withing visiting range outside the school grounds.
HISTORY:
With an extensive resume, Anna has dabbled a little bit in everything. At one point an author, another an actor, and she even fulfilled her childhood dream of being a Christmas tree flocker at one point. Then, while driving her ice-cream truck around the local suburb, she found she had a knack for explaining things to the children and answering their questions about how ice-cream was made and how the coolers worked. This inspired her most recent job change - into teaching. She had, of course, heard stories about the School of Dreams, and decided it might be an interesting locale for the next section of her life.
As a child, Anna was the weird one. The book worm. She wasn't exactly a nerd, because being so required one to be brilliant in physics or math or computer technologies, all of which she was always simply okay in. Many of the other children were fantastic at art and bad at science, or vice-versa, but she had always been moderate, trying without success to integrate the two sides together.
Whilst other children were out at the local burger joint or in study groups after school, Anna would be found hanging out in the classroom after class and seeing if the teacher needed any help. She always managed to bond to the adults much better than any of the other children, and finds the opposite true now that she's on the other side of the coin.
Once, at the beginning of her 7th year, her parents decided to throw her a birthday party, and asked her to invite all her friends so the parents could meet them. Anna didn't know what to do. Many of her friends were either non-existent or adults. Finally she invited the other four people assigned to her for her science project on underwater creatures. She never told anyone this, lest this information reached her parents.
Probably a significant reason why the other children avoided her throughout much of her later school years was her tendency to speak in "Shakespearean", as the school bully, Brian, called it. He was the brilliant one, always one-upping the other students before they could answer the teacher's questions. He was perfect - athletic, smart, and popular - and Anna loved and hated him for it. Though she never let it known, she had always harbored a secret crush on him, as did most school girls her age.
Now an adult, she still wonders about him on occasion, but with more of a passive interest than her childhood infatuation. She generally tries to avoid the love life, as it requires asking a bit too much of her personal life. Her desire to keep every relationship professional quelled any man's interest after the initial pursuit.

Dream Form
Entirely new to the experience, Anna's first moment in the dream world was in flight. Her incarnation is a bird soaring over the world below. Every time she dreams, she observes a different person, following their world as long as she can. While awake, she wonders if she knows these people inside her living realm, or if they are just figments of her imagination, consistent from night to night.
The bird is feral. Occasionally it will be overwhelmed with the desire to kill something, and satisfies the need by diving down into the forest and catching a rodent or other bird. It doesn't always consume its kill, but instead leaves it to the forest to reclaim. When this desire arises while it is following other people, it takes everything it can do to not peck out the eyes and create victims.
It fears and looks forward to the day it can no longer satisfy these violent urges with killing animals. It has never tried killing anything larger than a squirrel, but the logical part of the mind tells it larger animals might fight back.
Without name nor companion to call it, it roams at its own will, each night a different person to watch and different story to learn.[/img]
