Lyra liked all sea-dwelling creatures - except for crabs.
She glared at the little thing scuttling across the sand next to her. Things that walked sideways were simply not to be trusted, in her opinion. She raised a hand to shoo it away and it only stopped for a moment to stare at her. Then it changed direction and moved towards her. She pulled the mask off the lower half of her face and growled in a way that implied if it didn't get away from her, she'd crack its shell and have it for a late dinner. It left her in peace rather promptly.
Smiling to herself for her small victory with the crustacean of all things, Lyra let the bottom half of her face stay revealed. She smiled lightly while she watched the night sky. Regardless of how many nights she'd spent gazing up into the heavens, she simply couldn't avoid having her breath taken away every time she looked up at them. Maybe it was that she was a sea creature by birth, or that she had been locked in a manor for a good portion of her young life without being outside once - but Lyra loved the night sky.
She rested back on the sand with her snake-like tail swishing the wet sand back and forth.
This world was interesting, she'd give it that. But it had grown quite dull. She'd spent centuries here and even with the constantly changing faces, Lyra had never met anyone worth more than a few polite words. The years only continued to stack on one another and she feared that she'd always isolated.
Terror pooled in her stomach and she raised a hand to it in an attempt to calm herself. She didn't want to be alone forever.
