Will sat on the staircase leaning back. His elbows were on the second step away from his feet. He was realizing there and not many people passed by. There was the one or two who would but they all knew him. They would ruffle his hair and he would curse. But of course they all knew he had two hours of free time because he had no classes.
He watched the dust in the light. It was dancing in the sun rays from the window. He would blow on the dust to watch it move faster in the light. It was mildly amusing yet provided only a brief moment of him not being bored. He really had nothing to do today.
He began to trace the wood grain on the steps with his index finger. He was starting to become bored with nothing to do. Yet he couldn't go anywhere or do anything because he couldn't stand it. And he really didn't want to travel outside. It was hot and he wasn't a fan of hot.

Sarah sighed and struggled up the stairs. She wasn't used to so many stairs. Or the heat. And she definitely hated the heat. She was hauling a backpack of reading books and textbooks on one shoulder, and she had a large textbook and her jacket in her arms, since it was chillier that morning, and she hadn't been able to drop the extra layer off yet.
It was her first chance free of classes to go back up to her room, and drop her unneeded items off before her last class of the day. She groaned out loud, and just kept thinking, one step in front of the other. The sun streamed in through the windows, and Sarah watched the little dust particles floating through the air. Just another day in a new school.
As she rounded another flight of stairs, she felt herself lose control, and she felt herself falling forward. She didn't have her arms to catch herself, so she dropped her book and jacket. Her backpack tipped on her shoulder, and most of her textbooks, her bible, and another spare reading book fell out on the landing, and the one from her arms skipped off and landed near the feet of someone sitting on the stairs.
She felt the heat rise to her cheeks, and she looked down, her brown hair falling down over her face to hide the fact that she felt like crying and she just embarrassed herself in front of someone, when she was brand new to the school.

Footsteps rang through the hallway. he could hear the person coming up the stairs. Their footsteps seemed heavy but that could have been because of books. He always walked wit heavy footsteps when he had his books.
A girl came around the corner and her books fell over the steps. Will got up and started to help her pick up her books. He handed her a few with care.
His eyes crossed a bible. He gave a faint smile then picked it up. He ran his hand over the letters and laughed. "I see you are a into this," he held up the book. "It is all a bunch of rubbish." He gave a light laugh. He flipped it over then opened it it. From the looks it was a nice bible, newish. He looked her in the eyes and laughed. "What do you see in this?"
