NICKNAMES: Artis, DON’T YOU DARE CALL HER ART!! (Or Artemis for that matter >.>;
AGE: 17
GROUP: Student
YEAR: 12
BIRTHDAY: March 13
GENDER: female
PLAY-BY: Kat Denningsappearance
Artis would consider herself short and fat, as she is only 5ft 4in and extremely curvy. Though she is quite proportionate and a lot of people find her attractive (they don't tend to consider her fat or short--not even plump, for the most part), she just doesn't see it. She has raven dark hair, large lips and heavy lidded green eyes that have the typical tendency of changing color based on the color of her outfit. There's something about her that generally seems dark (and perhaps seducing) and she really distastes that affect her appearance has.
Instead, Artis rather be tall and skinny, have curves, but not so much.personality

Strong personality, stands up to people. At times critical of others, but also has a very motherly affect on people close to her. If you were to read descriptions of a Pisces, they pretty much describe her completely.
Artist wasn't raised to be outspoken, but somehow or another that's what she became. Being in such a strict environment made Artis rebellious. She dislikes social convention and polite company. And most of all, people who think they own everything and everyone.
Reading a lot of shoujo manga, she was greatly influenced by the type of heroines that were often portrayed. She especially wants to be like Tanpopo from Imadoki. Tanpopo was strong, and kind. She stood up to bullies, but she also forgave some of the people who seemed unforgivable. Artis also acts in this way. She stands up for everyone, but is capable of seeing the good in all.
Which, in the real world, doesn't work as much as it does in manga. That kind of kindness gets exploited. Those kind of people are rarely ever strong enough to keep on forgiving. And not everyone can be saved. As such, Artis has her moments where she becomes depressed that her efforts go to waste, or feels ridiculous because she tries so hard. Sometimes, she gets angry at people and tells her self that she can't keep on forgiving them. At times like this she becomes harsh with the truth, being entirely brutal at times.
There are times when she becomes so upset that she stops talking to people that are hurting themselves and her. Artis's problem is that she wants to fix the world and people, but she can't because no one can. But she is always able to forgive, even at cost to her own emotions.family & history

HISTORY:
Artemis comes from old money. The kind of old money that has certain social standards attach to it. Such as, choice of friends, personality and attitude, choice of boyfriends, keeping out of 'scandals' and whatnot. She was bred to be graceful, social, talented and intelligent.
Being an only child, her aim was to solely please her parents as there was no one else for them to fall back on. But her parents seemed to always be engaged in other things, making her feel lonely and neglected. At first she felt this meant she had to work harder, but very few things caught their attention.
All this time alone allowed her to develop her own opinion on things, opinions that were different than that of her parents. Soon Artemis had created her own world with her music and love of art, manga, music and the supernatural. When she was twelve she bought her first tarot deck, the Fenestra Tarot. She felt drawn to the Moon card though she wrote it off as having to do with her unfortunate name. She hung out with 'street kids' and picked up habits such as smoking and hanging with an older artistic crowd. She wasn't doing this for attention (or so she says) but rather because she wanted to expand her mind beyond the rigorous high class society.
One of the biggest influences on Artis life was her cousin Olivia. Olive was the rebellious type and encouraged Artis to make her own path in life. At eighteen Olive broke ties with her parents and moved in with an older boyfriend. She decided that she was going to make her way through life not because of her parents money but because of her own will. She is studying to be a social worker on scholarship.
After the scandal with Olivia, Artis's parents began to take notice of her odd hobbies and really disproved. Well, her father disproved but her mother was sure it was just a phase. They decided to make her go see a therapist to cure her of her odd habits. Artis got along well with her therapist and her therapist recommending enrolling in Somnium as it would give her chance to be away from her parents. After convincing her parents to go, she applied and was accepted.dream form
The Moon.
Artemis represents the Moon from her tarot cards. She also represents the mystical goddess Artemis that she had received her namesake from. All her life she had felt as though she was wrongly named. Not only has Artemis become a boy's name, but she was nothing like the blond hunter-goddess of Greek mythology. In appearance or attitude....
In the Dream World she goes by the name of Selene. Her body becomes taller, more athletic and less curvy (though she still carries that hourglass figure), than Artemis. Her hair is extremely long and shiny silvery blond in color. Even her eyes, which are generally a light green (sometimes gray-green), have turned into a deep blue that changes with her mood and sometimes seems to turn silver. She wears an sheer dress that seems more like fabric draped over her. Selene also carries a quiver of silver arrows and a silver longbow.
Selene has somehow brought her tarot cards with her, only they're a little different. In the deck, the Moon card is blank (as she has become that moon card). But she is unaware of this. Well, she's aware that there's a blank card, but she is unaware that she is the card. To her she is a Dream Being, not a Dream Form. She believes that she is perhaps related to the moon and had fallen from the sky at one point or another. But since she doesn't really remember much before the time she came to the world, she isn't sure and knows it's just a theory. Whenever she tries to use the tarot cards on herself, the blank card always comes up showing and unsure past and future. It also is trying to show her that is the card.
Also, the people within the cards seem to move and whisper to her. (It hasn't happened yet, but will in her plot that the objects and people within the cards can be released. Artis will have a problem making them go back in the cards.)
The Moon Card represents: Transformation, Natural Cycles, Intense Emotion, Spiritual Awakening
Reversed it means: Instability, Deceptions, Facades.
