He couldn't breath.
English was always a boring subject. Lix always figured that he knew how to speak the language plainly enough, so why pay attention in the class? It had been good reasoning before he began to...dream.
Lix tried to supress a shudder at the thought. He failed.
Resting his head against the cold stone of one of the more abandoned hallways, he tried to evaluate his dream. He had been...in a dress. A black and red dress with too many hearts on it to count. He looked like an older version of his younger sisters, but with all of the normal male anatomy. He'd checked.
It wasn't like a normal dream though. He was..aware of what he was doing. They told him about this the day he'd gotten to the school but it hadn't really hit him until he woke up when everyone else was leaving the classroom.
Lix closed his eyes and let out a shaky breath.
Please tell me that I'll be different next time I go there, Lix thought.
Turned so that his back was on the wall, he slid down, sitting on the ground and leaning the back of his head on the stone.

Leyah was lost. Was she really lost or was she in the Dreamworld? Was she in the second square? That square was oddly... comforting, so this couldn't be it, because there was no comfort to this room. Oh, and the fact that she wasn't a bird now, that's a lovely touch. Her hands glided near her back, to strum the mandolin strings. She wandered down the steps and practically tripped over the boy sitting there.
Her mouth curled inward as she landed on the floor. She shot upward, with little tears tears in her eyes as she looked at her instrument. "Manny?" She murmured, as she brushed her hands over the front and back. It was left unharmed, thankfully.
She then stood up and rubbed her forehead as she walked back to the boy that she had tripped over. "are you OK?"

"Are you OK?"
Lix looked up with half-lidded eyes, only vagely away of the event that just played out in front of his own eyes. The girl standing in front of him had a mandolin on her back, and she had effectively tripped over him when he had been resting against the wall. She even lookied on the verge of tears at the thought of her mandolin being even slightly scuffed up.
His eyebrow shot up but he didn't question her. She seemed like a sweet enough girl - she could have jumped up and berated him for being in the way, but she didn't. He stood and smiled nervously.
"I'm sorry, miss. I wasn't aware that anyone else came down this hall. I thought it had a rather, abandoned look to it," he said with a smile, trying to look as charming as he could. He ran a hand through his shaggy locks and his eyebrows furrowed.
"Are you alright though? You're the one who fell down, and I'd feel horrible if anything happened to your lovely mandolin because of me and my bad choice of a place to rest," he said, genuinely worried. He liked being overly polite, it was just habitual to him at this point in his life.
Some people called it sucking up, he called it having manners unlike most people out there.

Leyah knelled down, her sun dress very... dull in the light. She ran her hand across head, and smiled, then giggled. "You said miss." Her hand flew to her mouth. "Oh gosh, I sound like a..." She crossed her eyes and thought for a moment. "What was I saying?"
She closed her eyes and concentrated. Her eyes continued to flash as she stood there and she wavered in the air. Her mouth made strange twitching movements and she smirked accidentally as she attempted to smile. she tried to make small talk. "What year are you? You seem sort of..." She paused to think again. "Familar... Ya familiar."

Lix blinked.
The girl in front of him seemed slighty off. She was swaying, and rambling, and losing track of what she was saying. It was a little cute, but also worrisome. Taking a step towards her, Lex was close enough to get a hold of her if she managed to fall over which he had the suspicion she was about to do.
"I'm in year 10. My name's Felix, but I like to go by Lix." He flashed a smile to her. Even though she didn't seem too accusstomed to someone being polite to her, he'd hoped he made a good impression. It was just habitual for him to want to always be on someone's good side. There wasn't a specific reason, he just found chivalry the right way to go in life.
"Can I ask the pleasure of knowing your name?"

Leyah blinked. 7 times.
Leyah was quite oblivious today. However, she was more than a little out of it. She was really out of it. She had to rack her mind for a very longtime, just to find her name. "I'm Leyah Luna LaNoche... call me Leyah." She smiled, pleased with her response.
Lix was a cute boy, a hot boy almost. If he was... wait he was in her grade... right? Her mind was like a well stirred soup. One that refused to stopped spinning. "Oh I almost forgot!" She hiccuped and reached down to pick up her mandolin. "this is..." She then stared straight forward and leaned form side to side like an unsteady tree.

Lix reached forward to steady Leyah. It was a pretty name, it fit her quite well. He even found it cute how her ull name was just brimming with the letter "L". He assumed that her parents had a good sense of humor, he'd have to ask her when she seemed a little more coherant.
"Now who's this?" Lix said, referring to the mandolin. Most people would find it quite strange that anyone name an inanimate object, but not Lix. His cousin Serin did that with her stuffed animal Cain, and he loved Serin. She was a ridiculously sweet girl when you could get past her emotional walls.

Leyah was holding the mandolin in her hands... it was a nice instruments. "MANNY!" She smiled. "Her name is Manny, and she's my baby." She smiled at him. There was a lot of smiling in the conversation, probably because she was so light headed and jittery.
Her mandolin was placed back on the ground, and she was starring around the stairway, they were just standing there, but she was getting sleepy. Very. Sleepy.
"Maybe I should... take a nap."
Her eyes fluttered and she fell, collapsing on her self, right into Lix's arms. Her body slumped and she fell limp, still breathing, just... asleep.

"Whoa!" Lix stumbled back a little bit when she fell against him, but he was careful to get a good hold on her. She wasn't dead, just...sleeping. Lix let out a shaky breath, counting his blessings. She would be alright. Pulling her up a little bit more, he leaned down and put his arm under her legs to carry to bridal-style. He wasn't sure where the infirmary was, but he'd find it eventually. One of the halls branching off of this one would lead to it....Eventually.
He looked to the ground to see Manny sitting there and he frowned and thought of Serin. She'd absolutely kill him if for whatever reason, she passed out and he left Cain behind. He'd feel horribly guilty if he just left Manny there, abandoned. It took his 4 minutes, but he manouvered himself around so that he could hold Leyah and get Manny.
He was quite pleased with himself when he managed it.
Walking through the halls, Lix wondered if she was passed out or if she was sincerely asleep and in the Dream World. He was extremely curious about it, but just as afraid. He was not pleased in the least that when he went there, he was in drag of all things. He didn't have anything wrong with people who were like that, but it just wasn't for him.
It just wasn't.
