Rae closed her eyes as she laid amongst the flowers, she loved the smell of them in bloom, sweet and rich. She always had loved flowers, well at least the smell of them, ever since she was a little girl. It was nothing to do with the fact that they were meant to be romantic, it was simply that her father would always buy flowers for her, not roses or tulips but primroses and forget-me-nots, plants of the woods. It was strange really, considering that she tended to dislike the wild in general, she guessed that she made a special dispentation for foxes and wild flowers but she had no idea why really.
She always came out to the gardens when she missed her father, she loved him so much and it was still hard for her to be away from him for so long. Of course she had Michael but it wasn't quite the same, she was a total daddy's girl and no amount of brilliant brothers could make up for it. Of course occasionally she would go and see Michael when she was feeling like this but he was often busy and he had been away from home longer than she had, he just didn't understand.
So there she laid, amongst the flowers, appearing to be almost asleep. Her long blonde hair tangled up in the plants and her hand clutching a small forget-me-not so tight that it was almost impossible to see what it was.
