DARTS A carnival classic; everyone can break these balloons. That means the prizes are small, though, so prepare to spend lots of money if you want something nice. ;]
And how will you know if the dart made it? Include either heads or tails at the BOTTOM of your post so that we can easily locate it and either a staff member or a booth worker [depending on who is online at the time] will let you know if you made it in, using www.random.org's coin flipper.
WORK SCHEDULE [/u][/center] Shift 1 Meredith Beckendorf & Elliot Wright Shift 2 Joselyn Allaway & Sebastian Quinn An announcement will be posted in this board when it is time to change shifts.[/blockquote][/blockquote]

Elliot Wright was sitting at the Darts stall, twirling one of the darts loosely between his fingers. Did girls like darts? He wasn't quite sure but he had an inkling that it was more of a manly activity. If only he had been placed at the Goldfish stall. Girls liked goldfish didn't they? Elliot couldn't remember where he had obtained that assumption. Maybe it was because he knew girls liked little animals, and goldfish where little animals, so it would make sense for girls to like goldfish. Unless, of course, the liking of little animals only expanded as far as the mammalian class of animals. Elliot made a note in the mental notebook in his head to remember to find out more about this subject for later reference.
Suddenly the dart slipped from his fingers and landed, pointy end down, on his thigh. With a pained yelp, he plucked the dart out of the fabric of his jeans and threw it angrily back into the box from whence it came.
"Stupid pointy things," he mumbled to himself, poking at the tiny pin hole that the dart had left in his trousers. Thank God it didn't draw blood. Elliot was never very good when it came to seeing blood. It made him all woozy and unable to form coherent sentences (whilst normally Elliot was, of course, perfectly capable of forming the most witty quips in the entirety of the Academy).

Meredith groaned softly when her big brown eyes finally looked up from the grassy ground beneath her feet. She recognized him--oh, gods! It was that boy from the restaurant the other night... and she was going to be stuck with him. It was extra credit, though, and she had thought she might get paired with Jack so she had taken a chance. When she had realized that she had been signed up for the early shift, she had groaned irritably. She had signed up for the same shift that Jack had put down, and of course.. she was stuck with some kid named "Elliot".
Now that she was looking at the dart stall, she kept chewing the inside of her lip. She didn't want to finish her ascent to her hellish prison.. She hadn't realized until right now exactly what conviction it would take to sit with Elliot Wright, as up until now, he was merely an unremembered name on a board beside her own.
"Bloody... Hell." She shifted back and forth on her thick-souled boots, the splash of color in the light blue corset that wound around her cinched waist causing her to look decidedly less goth today. The lack of black lipstick set her aside from the first night she saw him, not to mention the straight drop of her hair around her shoulder in curtains, "Today is going to be rough."

She had been watching the clock since the beginning of the morning, and was taking her time VERY seriously. Each second coming down to the second shift was accounted for--she just couldn't stand to hear any more prattle or smell any more hot dogs or hand out little beanie baby prizes. She had been able to make it through the whole day without killing the kids that walked up and she was sure she deserved some sort of Medal for it, and well, she hadn't killed Mr. Elliot Wright, as she now knew his name to be, and that meant she should be bestowed Lordship over some great landscape somewhere in someone's afterlife.
The moment the shift ended, without even bothering to deal with the last customer, Meredith grabbed her jacket and started away, pointing out with a chilly smile that her time here was over and she needed to be somewhere quickly, though really what that meant was she needed to be far away from here quickly. Plus, Jack had first shift over at the basketball stand, and she wanted to run, in hopes to catch him before he made for leaving. Maybe they could hang out at the carnival a bit.. of course, if not, Meredith would happily go see Christian and then leave the smell of cheap food and sweat behind.
She didn't mention that while nobody was looking and Elliot was off for a bathroom break she had pushed the clock forward a few extra minutes--and by a few, she meant ten. Jack was important, after all, and this whole stupid carnival thing would be a waste if she didn't get to see him at least briefly.
