With short brown hair, his gorgeous blue eyes shine even it the darkest of places. Though is nose is arguably one of his most know features, the shape of his mount and facial structure balances out quite nicely to form a oddly attractive work of art. Standing at six foot one and a half, Xavier isn't bulky but rather covered with lean and useful muscle. He almost always had has some sort of facial hair, usually about two weeks of lack of shaving. Unlike most people, this does not make him look disheveled, but gives him a laid back appearance. He always dresses nicely, though not in formal most of the time. His clothes are all in fantastic condition, even his motorcycle jacket that he has had since he was nineteen. When on the job he wears collard shirts and mostly black slacks complemented with black loafers. His casual consists of dark jeans, various t-shirts and jackets. He is a simple man at heart and doesn't do well with the fancy. As far as he is concerned, a nice tux, a good pair of jeans and a comfortable jacket are all he needs. He has a smile on his face a goo deal of the time and is known for being a fantastic teacher, and a great friend.personality

- When students get enthusiastic about learning "What teacher wouldn't like it?"
- Reading "Mostly alone might I add, people around normally take away the magic."
- Pubs "What better place to enjoy a good pint, with friends?"
- The circus "The word odd couldn't come close to carnies, that's why I find them so fascinating!"

- Stuck up teachers "They are what's wrong with the education system! Why do you think kids these days hate school? THAT'S WHY."

- Fake Icing "It has that awful after taste! Geh."
- Tiny dogs "They get under your feet and have those squeaky, wimpy barks that are so annoying. Every time I see one I am tempted to punt it over a wall, though that would be considered animal cruelty and is frowned upon in most societies."

- Fruity drinks "I have nothing against pansy drinks, only that they taste like shit and don't carry a kick worthy of even a two year old."

Fears;
- Cannibals "Yes I fear cannibals, who logically doesn't? They're creep, unnatural, and down right demented."
- Becoming a decrepit old man "After all these years being as active and strong as I am, it would tear me apart to be confined to a wheel chair or cane."
- The death of Caterina "I really don't know what I would do without her."
- Caterina not loving him back "Long story, don't ask, it's personal."
Goals;
- To enlighten the youth "There are so many things that can go wrong with a child, even if they are properly taught. And to have them other wise is a crime against the future of all humanity."
- To figure out the meaning of life "This sadly may never happen, but in all honesty, it's the quest that I love the most."
- To live "Most people go on living their everyday life half frightened, half indifferent, they behold the ghostly tragi-comedy that is being performed on the international stage before the eyes and ears of the world. - Albert Einstein I shall not be one of those people."
All the mushy stuff;
Xavier is a fun, life loving, history teaching, exercise freak. He loves people, or rather watching them even though he has relatively honed people skills. He is a skilled manipulator and strategist, using his skills for chess and the like rather than controlling others. He could wrap an unsuspecting target around his finger in a matter of minutes, but chooses not to a great deal of the time. He sees the value in debate and conflict and embraces all views and walks of life, even if he does not agree with them. Believing that individuality is one of the worlds greatest treasures he does his best to preserve it. This is one of the things that makes him such a good teacher, but that if for the next paragraph so shh.
He doesn't have a family but has always wanted one. Deep down he is so paternal it isn't funny, to say that he would make a great father would be an understatement. Since he doesn't have kids of his own, he sort of vents this natural father instinct toward the teens that he teaches, but he often comes off as a older brother and friend rather than a parent. He doesn't have a degree in counseling, but the kids that are in his classes trust him as if he were blood. One would be surprised at what Xavier knows, if there is a rumor or secret anywhere in the school, he knows about it. It's not because he is a gossip or nosy, it's just that people tell him things for some reason. Most of the time he keeps it to him self, but if asked about it, depending on the situation, he will not lie. Maybe not divulge the entire story but acknowledge it if it's not harmful or if he was instructed not to speak about it. There are those who he likes better than others, but does not play favorites. He just tends to be more casual with those who wish to learn than with those who wish for nothing but anarchy. Since he has truly lived he is the one that most come to see for advice about almost every matter. He also is the one people come to for a good prank and conspirator.
His passion in life is teaching others the lessons of the past and how they relate to the future. Believing that is one does not learn from the past then they are doomed to repeat it, he does his best to make his classes exciting using everything from diagrams and games to field trips and modern analogies to get his point across. Also being is an avid mountain claimer, a trait that he inherited from his father and grandfather, he does his best to some how relate what they are learning about in class to the out doors. He is not to fond of class rooms.For example if they are studying a battle, he will take the class out for a reenactment(which they will do).
He is a good man at heart, one that cares for the students that he teaches hand what is to become of them. He does his best in everything and doesn't see the point in half ass work. Having something of a sailors mouth, he is known for being a great teacher, and a great friend.family & history

HISTORY:
Life wasn't bad, or at least it wasn't to young Xavier. He grew up hearing stories about the not so distant past. Where life, even for a soldiers family, was living in fear of the SS, in fear of their own government. Where war ravaged all and left none unscarred. There was nothing in his life that was taken for granted, every breath was cherished, every step enjoyed. He was raised to enjoy life, to embrace all that it had to offer. He was taught to never forget the past, for it marked the troubled paths of the future. Though not rich, his family had enough to have a modest house in the a small town not far from Berlin where his father worked as a police officer for thirty years. On occasion Wilhelm would take young Xavier to work with him, on such expeditions, they would always take a trip to the wall. He would put a hand on his shoulder and say "Son, this is what happens when good men do nothing. This is what comes to be when you allow a tyrant to rule." It was always the same 22 words, in the same tone. Eventually they began saying it together, embedding it in his young mind, that if such a thing as Hitler was every to happen to Germany again, that he was to everything in his power to stop it. When it was finally declared that people could come over in 1989, he was there; helping fellow children, who had never even seen west Berlin in their lives, come over and take their first steps on its pavement.
He spent hours upon end with his grandfather Lukas on Sundays after church, hanging on every word. He would speak of the lessons to be learned from what was happening to their country, from what had happened to their country. He would tell stories of the great wars, and why it was so important that they never repeat them selves. When he was old enough, his grandfather told him more of atrocities that had occurred during the second world war. Stories of those fellow soldiers that died trying do the right thing. About his unit that took it upon them selves to try and save the lives of innocents from the SS, how they never took credit for it because it was not heroic, it was just. Though it was obvious that it was hard for him to talk about such things, he insisted that Xavier know what had happened. Lukas Kunze died on October 4th, 1990; the day after Germany was reunited. He was 73.
He never had a relationship with his maternal grandparents for the same reasons that his grand father taught him of the past. They had been murdered by the SS for sheltering a Jewish family. His mother was two years old, and had been sheltered, along with her older brother, with sympathetic neighborers minutes before they came to call. He had been told the story only once by his uncle when he was seven, the same age he was when his parents were murdered.
To some thing may sound sad, growing up with such stories, but for him, they were lessons he must learn. Things that carved out the path that people were walking today. It explained why things were the way they were,why his country didn't have a military of it's own, what half of it was ruled by communists and the other by democracy. It brought order to chaos and light to the dark.
With his mother being a teacher, Xavier had no option but to excel in school; which he did. If he received anything lower than an B+ he would have twice the chores and wouldn't be able to do anything until he bought it up. This only happened once, and like a good boy, he brought the grade up and never let any slip again. To say he was a intelligent young boy would be a sever understatement, in fact he was brilliant, tough didn't brag about said intelligence. Though he was good at everything, he took a particular liking to history. Yes, he was a geek but didn't get made fun of for it. He was never bullied and never picked on. This most likely was because he was the star forward on the schools soccer team(high school and elementary). Honestly he didn't care much for school other than the team and class, he had more on his mind. He was nice, outgoing, and had a body that turned heads, but wasn't quite a social butterfly. Some wondered, others asked, and in reply he simply said he had better things to do. Those better things were with a young blind girl that he had grown up with. Her name was Caterina Aurora and there was nothing in this world that he would rather be doing than being with her. College in America broke his heart, leaving her behind was the hardest thing that he had to do, but he had to do it. After graduating with honors in history, political ideologies, and German, and a teaching certificate he went back home to see her, but to his despair, she was no where to be found. She had moved on without him, and he had to do the same. after a year of traveling the world, he got a job at Somniam Academy and to his surprise she appeared on the staff a few years later. She didn't recognize him, because now, she could see.dream form
Xavier's form shifts often but only to one of three incarnations; a five year old child, a man in his early twenties, and an old man in his 80's. As you may have guessed, nearly identical to the personification of time. He does not dwell in the past but is none the less fascinated with it, he has never forgotten his nor ever will. There is something within him that draws him relentlessly toward the subject. Maybe it's the fact that his grandfather fought in WWII, but instead of committing horrendous atrocities, he used his status as Nazi Sergent to save Jews and others that were being prosecuted. Maybe it was his lost love, so many maybes. So he studies day and night, trying to find the reasons. He flows the the dream world constantly morphing, caring a scythe in his left hand, and a clock medallion hanging at the center of his chest. He is clothed in a black cloak, a matching Egyptian style loin cloth trimmed with gold, and bare feet. He often appears with gigantic gold wings, but it depends on the night. He is the one most come to to seek advice, or wisdom. Never staying in one place, one has be extraordinarily lucky to find him; most of the time, he finds you.
