All in all, Carissa has a subtle prettiness to her, not beauty but prettiness. Her hair is long and brown, straight down to her mid-back for the most part unless she puts in in a high ponytail. Her face is clear and most compliment her on her complexion, missing the fact that there is a bump on her nose from when she broke it as a child. Her eyes are a deep brown, nothing extraordinary but they hold a depth to them that belies her intelligence and her sensitive side. Standing at a mere 5'3 makes her an easy target of forgetfulness but people tend to remember her for her kind helpful nature and her bright smile. Her hands are also a bit rough despite her small stature, which confuses some people who don't know her.personality
Speaking of the kind helpful nature, it tends to be her hobby. She enjoys helping people in need. She likes studying and she also likes being part of her old team's track & field, which still shows because she avidly runs in the morning. She also likes trying new foods, finding it hands-on learning experience, and even watching foreign films and volunteering where she can. With her hates come ungrateful people because she helps a lot and would think that someone could at least appreciate the small teenage girl going out of her way to help them, or anyone who is helping in general. She dislikes people who don't take care of their own, especially children and animals, who she deems a bit helpless when faced against adults who are in charge of them. She also hates a majority of vegetables and some fruits, along with hating her mild allergy to strawberries because she loves them. She also hates the color gray because it is so drab; black and white are distinct and can mean anything you want it to mean be gray is just 'blah.'
Overall, her main goal is to become a veterinarian and open up her own animal clinic. She would like to have an animal shelter on the side or even have her clinic double as a shelter. For that, her first goal is to go to college and then attend graduate school and then, become veterinarian. Besides that, she's liked to get married and have at least two kids, one of each gender hopefully, and possibly adopt more if possible. One of her strengths is that she has a plan for what she wants to do. She isn't wandering around aimlessly like most people her age and she is studying hard to get to where she wants. Her mind is like a sponge and that leads to another of her strengths being her strong memory. It's why she is so good in school, it's near photographic and she can just recall information at the drop of a hat. Another strength is running, which makes sense because she was pretty much one of the top in track and cross-country. Weakness would have to be helping people though because she neglects herself for the most part. She eats, sleeps, relaxes and studies yes but sometimes she just doesn't realize that there is more to her life than helping others. Because of this, she is sometimes taken advantage of but only by people she truly trusts because she knows how to stop and can figure out when others are faking it. Her friends take advantage of her sometimes, and they all know it, but they make it up to her and because of that, she's fine with it.
If there's anything wrong with her personality, it's the fact that she's spiteful. Like with her not liking ungrateful people, she tends to remember that and might actually refuse to help if she felt that scorned before. People who do better than her in her best subjects will often get the brunt of her anger and she'll work hard just to surpass them by one measly point. After that, the person she beat is on her good side again and she's so quiet about it that the person didn't even realize they were off it. She tends to do these types of things subtly but vindictively regardless. The only one safe from it is her brother and well, people who are better than her in subjects she doesn't care about. Having better clothes is something she doesn't need but if you are better than her at English, think again.
Besides being spiteful and vindictive, she seems snobby to some people and others think that she's expecting some big stroke of karma for being kind. Even if that's not the case, Carissa can't help but question herself as to whether or not that's really the case. Eventually though, she figures that she would have made it known to herself that this was the case and simply ignores the possibility until someone else brings it up. Some people just can't seem to believe that she is genuinely nice and try to push her, thinking that she's naive. Even if she realizes it herself, she is often very protected by her friends and has yet needed to prove herself on her own. It worries her that people can't think someone genuinely nice and that's when she begins to question herself again.
Regardless though, Carissa is also very selfish with her brother Carter. Being twins means that they were figuratively attached at the hip and grew up together, learning each others faults and traits. Carissa does not like the idea of sharing him, especially with the girls who deem themselves his groupies. There have been specific girls that have been on Carissa's bad end who never knew and suddenly found their instrument covered in super-glue or who have found their bike seats oddly positioned only to find their bikes falling apart. She uses her intelligence to her own advantage sometimes but only as revenge and never really to start something unless she finds them a threat to someone close to her, usually Carter or her best friends.family & history

HISTORY:
Carissa Adelina Morgan was born 7 minutes and 4 seconds after her older brother Carter on September 17th fifteen years ago. At that time, her father John had just been promoted to newspaper editor and the family shop was doing well. It was as if everything was perfect. Margaret's second pregnancy though, resulted in a still-born when the twins were nine. They never spoke of it again but both could tell that their parents were constantly feeling the pain even when they are at their happiest.
Her childhood was relatively normal. Both her and her brother competed against each other a lot but it was all in good fun for the most part. Carissa was the smarter one while Carter was the more athletic and it benefited both of them to be this way. Whenever Carter had trouble in school, she would help him. Whenever Carissa was having trouble with her free-throw form, he'd be there to correct her patiently. All in all, the best of friends.
The difference though, was the obvious gender and the range in interests. When Carter took up piano, Carissa took up singing and flute. When Carissa took up track & field in middle school, he took up gymnastics. She made sure to volunteer at animal shelters and he helped at nursing homes because he wanted to be a doctor. They always complimented each other, never completely surpassing the other but still having their own strengths. The normalcy ended this winter.
Carissa had come home early with her parents from one of his final gymnastic meets, letting him stay out with his friends in celebration of their win. He was one of the younger team members but gifted more than some of the older kids and they knew to care good care of him. Their little town was close-knit after all. A couple of hours in, Carissa got sudden chills and a bad feeling and then informed her parents to call Steven, the guy on the team who had practically adopted Carter as his little brother and protege. No answer. Another hour later, Steven called back, hysterical and saying that a bunch of them had gotten hurt after a van hit their car. Carter was one of them.
And so, after rushing to the hospital and meeting up with Steven, her parents simply let Carissa go, knowing that she could find her twin much quicker than if they were to ask. She stopped in front of the ER and simply pointed, getting confirmation that her brother was in there getting surgery to remove the bone fragments in his arms and legs. They waited a day, and were finally allowed to see him. He was in a coma, refusing to wake up. She knew he was alive though and that was all she needed. She told them to take him off support and they listened, watching in amazement as he breathed on his own.
John and Margaret did the only thing they could do to help. They kept Carissa away from him because if they didn't, she was going to waste away by his side until he woke up. She agreed but only after falling asleep by his side and having a dream where their connection made her sense his annoyance and concern for her staying there. She only came to Somnium because of him and they all knew it. It also helped that this school was pretty amazing on the academics scale and would look good for university.dream form
Carissa's dream form is a bit odd but then again, this is her dream form. She is, in essence, a cat/dog-girl version of herself because of her goal to be a veterinarian. Her hair is still brown and she has not grown any height. However, her eyes have have the infamous blue color that all newborn kittens have, which will change as she matures. Her hands and feet turn into paws and so, no shoes for her. She also has a short fluffy brown tail, making it difficult for her not to rip the pair of pants or the skirt she is wearing in dream world. However, the unique thing about her being a cat/dog-girl is the fact that she can bark & meow at will, ultimately conversing with animals of similar make-up. There is also the fact that she tends to sense evil like a cat's sixth sense but she doesn't really know how to use it. Besides that, she tends to manipulate pheromones like the animals do. This is because of the subtleness she has in real life, how she always doesn't outright say it but leaves hints to things. With the pheromones, she is leaving subtle hints of her territory and her mood.
