Sorena has straight brown hair that she likes to keep shoulder length. All together, Sorena isn't that beautiful or that ugly to really stand out in a crowd, which she likes and dislikes at the same time. Not one to go for expensive or fancy clothes, Sorena is more than happy to wear a plain shirt and blue jeans. There are almost always two pony-tail hair ties on her right wrist, just in case Sorena feels that her hair might get in the way. Her face is also rounder than most and she only stands at a height of 5' 5". Sorena's brown eyes are an almond shape and often turn into slits whenever she smiles out of genuine happiness.
She also has slightly tan skin, which she is glad to have. Most of the time Sorena doesn't have to wear sunscreen, although this often results in her getting freckles. Although sometimes adorned with the occasional pimple or zit, Sorena usually doesn't have any acne and hates to wear make-up. To her, it feels like a blanket and whenever she does have to wear it, Sorena can't stop wiping her face.personality
Sorena seems to be a whole bunch of contradictions. Most of the time, she always seems to confuse people. On occasions, Sorena is social and outgoing and then suddenly, she can turn into an aloof, shy person. More importantly, she seems to be more of a 'reactor'. Meaning that Sorena would rather say something to please the other, rather than to actually speak her own mind. Analyzing other people's body language and the tone in their voice when they speak, is something that has always interested Sorena. Using information that she gathers, Sorena watches people and tries to guess what they're talking about or if someone is lying. Admittedly, she does not believe that her deductions are always spot on, but Sorena doesn't like to judge people by their cover. After all, Sorena is an avid reader and has learned about the covers of books rather well.
Sorena seems to go off the 'feel' of people. Meaning if they are in a 'troubled' household or whether they are 'normal', angry or a secretive sad. People she is mean to are often baffled by the kindness that Sorena shows to other people. Giving a slightly standoffish first impression, people are often surprised at her change in character as they get to know her. According to who Sorena is with, a different part of her shows up. She isn't a bunch of personalities bundled into one, but rather one personality that has been stretched out into different parts. Sorena is herself, while not truly ever being herself.
It takes a lot for Sorena to consider someone a friend. She does not use the word loosely and has a hard time even calling people she trusts 'friends'. More often than not, she'll refer to people she knows as 'acquaintances'. Even when someone calls her a 'good friend', Sorena will find it hard to say, "You are too." Sorena tests herself on how to judge if someone is a friend or not by asking herself if she would cry if the person died. Always wanting to be true to herself, Sorena usually always gives herself a truthful answer. The same can not be said for what she tells other people.
Sorena also loathes conflicts, especially ones that, in her mind, are completely ridiculous. First of all, she has never had a boyfriend and doesn't really plan to ever have one. After all, Sorena has watched tons of people fall hard after being broken up with. So, she tries to prevent herself from having that fate. Anytime Sorena has to interact with a guy, she is usually harsh, especially if they're good looking. She is pretty judging in that aspect. However, if she suspects that the guy is gay, Sorena will become tolerant. Still not completely happy, but deciding that it's better. Sorena is definitely not one of those girls who likes to be around guys. In fact, she prides herself over being 'boy-free' and is actually trying to see how far she can go without getting a boy friend.
There are, however, some rules that Sorena lives by. The Golden Rule is by far her favorite and is always unhappy when other people don't respect it. If she ignores someone then Sorena expects to be ignored in turn. Sorena wants feelings to be equal on both sides and not act nice to someone and be treated like dirt right back. Her second rule is not to mess with other people's emotions. If a guy acts even the slightest bit interested in her (god forbid), Sorena will shut him down, thinking that it's all for the best. Finally, Sorena's number three rule is to avoid conflicts at all costs. Thus, to prevent herself from causing any, Sorena has decided to throw pride out the window. Not her self confidence, mind you, but pride and the effect of boasting comments. All insults are treated as jokes, so Sorena will probably just laugh if you even try to get her mad. Rationalizing everything in her mind, allows her to realize that most fights are useless. Sorena's idea of fighting is to ignore the 'enemy'. To her, it is the easiest way to avoid a conflict while, at the same time, there is a conflict.
Some secrets that Sorena has includes a mild obsession of Pokemon. Of course, she never tells anyone unless the other person says that they like Pokemon, which rarely ever happens. Her DS is almost always with her and her only games are Pokemon based. She 'grew up' with Pokemon and is the one of the things that Sorena can use to connect with her brother. Steve means a lot to Sorena, even if she won't admit.family & history

HISTORY:
Drama and a story-book life are things that have been evaded all of Sorena's life. You may think that that makes Sorena 'normal', but that's definitely not true. Perhaps a little trip through Sorena's life may explain things.
Sorena was born into a picture perfect family and they practically were. Her parents were married and still are and she has an older brother who has just started college to get a medical degree. When Sorena was little, her mother was dutifully taking care of them and her father had a steady job as a dentist. She lead an average existence. They were a middle class family in a two story house in America, going to public school, and getting grades in the A-B range. Pretty much nothing went wrong in Sorena's world. At least, until she realized how much worse other people's lives were.
Being a reader, however, began to lead to a few problems. Sorena dreamed of lives with adventure and hardship and she realized that she didn't have any. In class, she heard interesting stories of other people's lives where they had troubles at home. Much like how cows want to eat the grass on the other side of the fence, Sorena wanted a taste of hardship. She wanted to know what it felt like to have to work hard for something. To care deeply and wonder if she would survive the next day.
Suddenly, in her first year of High School, Sorena began to cause problems. They were small at first, but gradually got worse. Sorena first began to skip assignments and turn them in late. This confused her parents, because usually Sorena does well in school. When her grades dropped into the low seventies, Sorena's parents cracked down on her and proclaimed that Sorena would not be able to read any more books unless they were related to school work. Obviously, this angered Sorena to no end and she began to do worse in school, and this only caused her parents to crack down harder. So this was no other than a vicious cycle, until Sorena got expelled for getting on the roof of her school building and spray painting "Verpiss Dich", which is 'fuck you' in German.
Willing to do anything to make Sorena behave, they decided that their daughter should be placed in a boarding school, where she could be watched all the time. Not wanting to leave her friends behind, but also curious about boarding school, Sorena silently allowed her parents to ship her off to Somnium Academy. Acting cold and menacing as her parents drove Sorena to the airport, she neither said 'Good-bye' nor 'I love you' to her parents, even though they said those words to her. However, as soon as her parents were out of sight, Sorena showed her true feelings of excitement come out. Truthfully, Sorena had come to terms with her fate and was now taking it in stride, rather than be sad. Going to Somnium Academy became something Sorena looked forward to.dream form
Sorena's Dream Form is that of a Pokemon and sometimes it changes, although the main Pokemon she turns into is Buizel, a water weasel Pokemon. However, unlike the usual orange and blue colors of a Buizel, Sorena is brown and blue. Obviously, her dream form stems off from the fact that Sorena is quite infatuated with Pokemon and keeps it hidden. She is most likely a Buizel because back home her friends would occasionally say she looked like a weasel. Sadly, she cannot speak 'human' and, like in the TV shows, can only say her Pokemon name. Sorena believes that this merely shows how it is in real life. How she feels that no one really understands or listens to her.
Being a Pokemon in the Dream World is kind of embarrassing for Sorena and she has sworn to herself never to tell anyone what her dream form is. Even though she does that, Sorena truly loves being a Buizel, especially since she can use Buizel's moves.
