Lawrence’s room is an efficient room used for its true purpose first and foremost. The entire room is tuned to his sleeping habits, starting with an enormous California king sized bed with a foam filled mattress that allows a sleeper to sink down into the bed itself. With stretched Egyptian cotton and Italian silk bed garments, Lawrence Grimmel sleeps in pure luxury and values every moment he spends there, a tendency that makes him not want to wake up easily in the morning.
His bed, chest of drawers, dressing table, night table are all made of dark cherry wood with a matte glaze and silver handles in the appropriate places. Not often doing business in his room, his set up is severely lacking a desk so one might usually find papers piled on his dressing table beneath his mirror and a stack of artworks on the ground next to his enormous bed.
Not one for cleaning, if he was ever visited in his room, he would have to make a large show of picking up the clothing, paint bottles, and crumbled up newsprint that usually litter the floor of it. He has taken the liberty, unbeknownst to Somnium Academy to paint the walls of his room stark white, and set up sunlight lamps in smooth chrome to bring the best light into the room while the curtains are closed. The curtains themselves are made of heavy black fabric meant to stamp out even the smallest shred of light filtering in from the morning sun.
The overall appearance is lacking in a feminine touch and seems minimalist and more than a bit messy, with strong, angled lines throughout the entire room. The floor is a dark cherry wood with the same matte glaze as his furniture, with a big white throw rug settled directly under the bed to prevent dust bunnies and cold morning feet.
Hey, even men need a little pampering every now and again.
