PLAY-BY: Simone Simonsappearance
Crystal stands around 5'8" with wonderful posture and grace evident in her stance, her body type slim and willowy. Being a bit tall for a woman, her legs and arms are thin and graceful, matching the body type most often associated with a dancer. Her hair matches her fiery temper, an auburn mass that hangs to the small of her back and is often caught up with a clip. Her hair, however, is extremely fine so it often finds a way of escaping from any design it is corralled into. The girl’s eyes are a piercing blue, almost otherworldly in their depth and shine, it has been said that they could see straight into another's soul and then, into their heart. They could most correctly be compared to the color of a shined sapphire.
Despite having such unusual features in the hair and eye region, Crystal is a plain looking girl facially until she smiles. Her smile brings all of her facial features together to make her a unique beauty that one must study to appreciate. People are often shocked with the sudden change from simple to beautiful; usually, they try to be polite and smile back, but are overwhelmed and they falter for words. Due to this, Crystal avoids smiling fully in most circumstances, if at all avoidable. Naturally, her full lips are seldom seen with lipstick on them because they do not need any make up to enhance them. Crystal weighs the exact same weight as any other girl in the world : More than she feels she should.personality

- Heavy metal
Crystal is a bit snippety to those she doesn't like or approve of, especially power hungry or money hungry people. She is outspoken about subjects that strike her as important while she keeps quiet about things that other people seem to like to talk about, like sex, drugs, rock’n’roll, and politics. When people get on the wrong side of her temper, they are usually caught up in a flare of emotion sometimes aimed at the wrong person. Pride often keeps her from admitting her trespasses, but if she realizes her actions made someone truly feel bad, she apologizes profusely. Her desire for almost overly good hygiene leaves people thinking that Crystal is a vain girl, no, she just prefers to look and feel her best.
- People who ask questions to make themselves seem smarter
- Multiple choice questions on tests
- Calculators
- Cars
- Trucks
- Motorcycles
- Scooters
- Pretty much anything with wheels and a motor used for transportation
Crystal is a believer in eternal love, a hopeless romantic one might say. She enjoys frilly and girly things to a ridiculous amount and secretly wants nothing more from life than to be a faithful wife and mother. Despite being a little flighty from time to time, she is relatively serious about succeeding in life and in school and will study copious amounts if she things she isn’t grasping a concept. Nice, but sassy and stubborn, Crystal doesn’t have a problem fitting in a lot of places and always tries to stay true to herself rather than getting caught up in the crowd.
- To fall in love
- To get over her fear of vehicles

HISTORY:
Crystal Dinaia was the only child of two extremely good parents. There’s something that amounts from a couple who thinks they are barren being able to have just one child through fertility treatments that brings a strong bond into the world. Her parents, both being trust fund babies, quit their jobs when she was a young child and devoted most of their time to raising her as a couple. Crystal’s relationship with her parents even while growing up was more like one big friendship, where she dictated where they would go and what they would do and her parents happily followed. Being raised in the southern United States, Crystal developed a personality based in general kindness toward others and the strength of family. She generally believed in the strength of her world and to be honest, was a sheltered girl until she turned thirteen years old.
Whispers haunted the houses of her friends when she would visit, and you know how southern women talk. They claimed her father simply wasn’t satisfied with Stacy, despite the fact that she was often considered a trophy wife. Crystal chose to ignore the claims, though she heard them, continuing to believe that her parents were indeed perfect and some how a different form of human, ones that never buckled under depression or temptation. How, after all, could two of her closest friends be anyone other than who she thought they were?
Scandal erupted in the suburbs that summer. Her father moved out of the house, crushing Crystal beyond all belief. Her mother began drinking too much wine after that and when she “became a woman” her mother broke down in tears and informed her that now she had the opportunity to be hurt as deeply as she had been. For the longest time, Crystal believed the curse truly was just that! One day when the junior high student came home from school, her mother wasn’t there to greet her as she had been so many times before. In the freezer were six casseroles with the day of the week written on each of them, but no note from her mom. Crystal waited the first night, grew worried the next day, and called her father on day three. Though her dad was busy with his new girlfriend, he comforted the girl as much as she could be when he told her that a plane ticket to South America had been booked in her mother’s name with his credit card. After that, the trail went cold.
With no mom at home anymore, it wasn’t feasible for a young girl to stay at home by herself. Nor was it feasible for her to move into her father’s condo in California with him and his expectant girlfriend. After looking for a compromise that would suit both of them, Crystal received scholarship information from Somnium Academy and began the application process to the school. Within weeks her records had been sent to England and she was accepted to start in the middle of her 10th year there. The farewell from the airport was awkward and otherworldly, her father standing there and another slim, dark skinned woman clinging to his arm in her mother’s place. The entire scene scared her and scarred her significantly, making her not want to go home or keep close contact with her father. Something about this new mesh simply didn’t seem right.
During her first year at Somnium Academy, she fell into a crowd of students who were from local villages, melding into their quirky English way of life quite easily. While freewheeling, drinking, and driving fast one night, terrible road conditions and a suspiciously placed tree one boy had sworn was in the middle of the road, Crystal found herself ejected from the seat of her friend’s sedan and laying on the pavement bleeding. The injuries were substantial, leaving her with a fractured skull and several other minor broken bones. Some of the other students weren't so lucky, but after the accident, the group disbanded, often looking at each other with shamed eyes as they passed in the hallways. After passing out from the loss of blood and her injuries, the young girl awoke in a hospital without her mother or father present. For a moment, she was glad they weren’t there, just to avoid some of the strange silences that she knew would be there, but after that moment, she found herself crying uncontrollably. She wanted her mom to be there. She wanted her dad to be there. Crystal wanted her life to return back to a form of something normal, with their tight family unit glued back together.
A few weeks in the hospital and several long talks with a psychologist, Crystal began to understand that her sheltered life had led her to believe that things would always be perfect, but the world itself has a tendency to have many imperfections. During her stay, she gained an appreciation for psychology and decided to pursue it as a career field, keeping her same psychologist as a mentor. After she returned to Somnium, she kept in contact with Dr. Murphy and often writes letters back and forth during the school year. For breaks, she was welcomed to visit his home and does so comfortably. After her accident, Crystal found herself with an unnatural phobia of automobiles of any sort, a fear she simply can’t shake. Always over analyzing people as an impossible backseat driver, Crystal gets carsick easily and is paranoid the entire time she is with someone. Dr. Murphy informed her that it was a normal reaction to such a large accident and it would work itself out in time.dream form
Crystal’s dream form confused her the first time she found herself dumped into it. Looking into a mirror in the Dream World, she saw merely a being clothed in a heavy white cloak. After further inspection, she found her same body within it, only sucked mostly of color aside from her metallic toned hair and jewel toned eyes. She prefers to stay hidden in the cloak, wrapped up and indistinguishable from any other creature. The cloak is oversized and enormous, trailing on the ground behind her as she walks. Crystal still does not trust the Dream World or the creatures in it, suspecting that it might be the purgatory her fire-and-brimstone pastor railed about back home.
