Raine came out into the court yard under the big tree that was there. It gave the perfect amount of shade during a day like this. Sun out and bright, perfect day in her mind.
She had just finished moving in and decided that instead of wandering the halls to come outside. Outside seemed better and it was worth getting out after being in a car for hours. She just wanted to be free and have no one tell her she can't.
She danced around with no music but the songs in her head. She twirled and jumped like nobody was watching. People probably were but to her it didn't matter. She wanted to dance and nothing was going to hold her back. She twirled out of the shade of the tree and the sun hit her cheeks. She opened her eyes and the sparkled with the light of the sun.
She kept going around in the shade. Maybe she was hoping someone would come join her. Someone to join in the craziness.

Jiro was so sick of being stuck inside the school walls, he needed to get out. All he did was go to his classes, and then he had to sleep, and then more classes. He never had time to get out and actually see the sun for real not just through a stupid window, it was defiantly time for him to catch some sunshine.
He thought that the best place for him would be the courtyard. It would be nice and peaceful and it was an awesome day today anyway. So it was a win win. He strolled through the courtyard looking around trying to find a spot where he could sit. There actually weren’t many people in there, a few small groups but that was it.
He came to a big shady tree and decided to sit. He took out his iPod and plugged the earphones in his ears. He wished he could get up and dance, it would be so fun to be that free, but everyone would think he was a mental case.
Jiro opened his eyes and shook his head, he must have fallen asleep. The sun was so bright and it was shining right on him, the shade had moved. He turned off his iPod that had been playing his favourite song over and over again, he stretched and looked around. Everyone was staring at something; he followed what they were looking at and saw a girl um, dancing. He smiled she must be confident he thought to himself as he stood up. He walked over to her “HEEEEY…..” he yelled out, hoping that she'd hear him.

Raine knew others were watching and wondering. No ipod was visible from what they could see. She didn't have hers out now anyway. She was playing a song in her head. She didn't need music. She also knew that she probably just got the weird kid award. Like every school she had been to.
Raine twirled in a circle. She heard a voice that made her stop in her tracks. It was from behind her. She turned on her heal to see a boy. "Hi," she brushed the hair out of her face and looked at him. She felt all the eyes dirft away from her because she had stopped. "Come to talk to the school weird kid? If so then let's move back under the shade."
Raine moved back and sat under the tree. She waited for the guy to come and sit down.

Jiro was startled at how fast the girl stopped. He didn't think someone could be moving and then stop so fast like that. He was about to ask what she was doing but the girl was already moving toward the tree where he fell asleep.
"Come to talk to the school weird kid? If so then let's move back under the shade." He had to pause and think for a second, that's not what he meant at all. What a horrible thing to say about yourself, he thought. "Hey wait, that's not what I meant." He said to the girl as he sat down next to her under the tree.

She smiled at him. She didn't mean it in a bad way. And she needed to sit down anyway. She was getting tired. "No I didn't mean for it to sound that way," she said trying to fix her mistake. "It is a fact here, I think. But I don't care what they think."
She looked down. She started to play with the grass at her feet. "I'm sorry if I gave you the wrong thought of me not wanting you around." She looked up at the boy in front of her. "I'm Raine by the way."
