"Like I was saying before I was so rudely interrupted," Tallulah crowed, sticking a thin finger out at the talking alligator who took up the chair next to her. "Just--"... She paused, losing track of her thoughts, "What was I... Ohright. You should marry her."
The alligator looked at her flatly... not that Tallulah was sure alligators had any other way to look at someone, "We were talking about corn." He snapped his teeth at the end, obviously annoyed.
Tallulah simply stared at him for a minute, eyes wide, hand hanging in mid air, "Oh..." A confused look took over, "Why the heck would anyone talk about corn? with an alligator?"
Her drinking companion snorted and slipped out of his chair, "For the last time, I'm a dragon." and the giant lizard hunched off to find himself a nice quiet booth free of prying nymphs.

A short cloaked figure, wearing a smiling fox mask, made his way easily through the crowded inn. He saw a few things he could have stolen easily, but for some reason he simply wasn't in the mood today. In fact, he just wasn't feeling like himself lately. Tetroneaque felt like he was in some sort of funk and nothing he tried would change it.
He slid out of the way of a small dragon and took the vacated seat at the bar. For once he wasn't the shortest being there. A nice looking nymph next to him was practically the same height. For some reason that made the kitsune feel a bit better.
"Hello there." He said politely to the nymph as he settled himself on the seat.

Tallulah had been too busy attempting to stack her glasses with any modicum of dexterity to see the kitsune make his way up to the bar. Perhaps not the wises move with this particular bar patron. Tallulah was a wonderful judge of character (while sober) and this person rang of mischief. Mischief types made wonderful conversationalists but it would perhaps not be wise to take your eye of them for too long as you were likely to find all your valuables missing.
She grinned widely at him as he sat down and clinked the last stemmed glass on top of the structure that looked something like a carousel.
"Tada!" She bowed in her seat, "Welcome to Tallulah's circus for drunkards. Pardon me, the only attraction at the moment is this really tiny carousel, but we have a mind for expansion. Perhaps I could use your glasses when you're done?"

Tetroneaque couldn't help but smile behind his mask. Intoxicated folk were always so amusing. Of course it varied from race to race how amusing they were, as some tended to be rather mean drunks. This nymph seemed to fall into the amusing category though.
"I don't see why not." He replied to her query about using his used glasses.
Tetroneaque tossed the hood on his cloak back, freeing his large fox ears from the confines of the garment. After that he removed his mask and placed it into one of the larger pockets of his robe. After all, a mask would make it rather awkward to drink now wouldn't it?
When the bartender came around the kitsune placed his order. "A blackberry sangria please."
He then turned his attention back to the nymph.
"My name's Tetroneaque. Pleasure to meet you." He said with a smile.

Tallullah clapped like a giddy school...nymph, already plotting out the structures in her head. How was one supposed to make a ferris wheel out of shot glasses anyway. Oh well, at least it'd be an adventure. It was always a good passtime for her to try to conceive of complex mechanical structures while inebriated, it kept her on her toes.
She liked this companion much more than the last one. He was polite, introducing himself properly like a new acquaintance should. She paused in her shuffling of empty glasses and stuck out a small white hand in his direction.
"Nice to meet you. I'm Tallulah Marjorie Ondine. Matchmaker. Circus Entertainer. Ringmaster. Mechanic." She dropped off at the end of the list, sure she'd missed something, but she shook herself and continued on, "You can call me Tallulah, Lula...Tallie..."
She leaned forward in her seat, mid introduction, "Hiya, could I get whatever it was that I was drinking before. It was blue, had a sparkler in it? Good-Thanks!"
She turned back to Tetroneaque and picked up where she left off, "...Lu...Lulie. Captain is also acceptable."

"I'm just going to call you Tallie if that's alright with you." Tetroneaque said with a smile and a laugh. He was glad he had chosen this seat as Tallie was quite amiable. He wondered if she was always like this or only while tipsy. It didn't hurt that she was rather cute too, despite not having even a single tail.
The bartender arrived with Tetroneaque's drink at that moment. A rather tall glass of a dark purple liquid smelling of berries of various kinds. The kitsune's smile only grew wider as he took a nice long swig from it.
"Ah! That's good. You ever try this stuff Tallie? It's quite good, and packs a bit of a kick too." He said as he licked his chomps. Another long drink and the glass was empty except for a few pieces of fruit at the bottom, which the kitsune promptly devoured.
"Another one barkeep!" Tetroneaque called, and remembering his arrangement with Tallie, slid his empty glass over to her to use as she saw fit.

"Ah yes," Tallulah regarded her new companion's drink with a somber nod, "The Tall Blue Indigo one with the things in it. Very good choice!" Tallulah never bothered remembering the names. They were usually too silly for her to comprehend and describing them seemed to work just as well. She almost considered trying the other drink, but she was a girl of habits and she stuck to her good ol' Blue One with Sparklers.
She was, however, terribly amused at Tetro's drinking style. Perhaps she could try that...
Her drink arrived, already sparking at the top. The two sparklers shot out from the center of the flute, just tall enough to avoid the sparks getting into the flammable liquid. The drink itself was the same color and consistency of the water in putt putt golf lakes and appeared just about as appetizing. Still, she swore by it.
She plucked the sparklers out and put them out with the touch of a finger before picking up the glass and tipping the contents into her mouth.
Tallulah felt like she was dying... but it passed with a few dozen coughs and few thumps on her own chest.
"Holy crap!" She regarded the kitsune with awe, "How do you do that?!"

Tetroneaque couldn't help but laugh at Tallie's attempt to imitate his own way of drinking. He did try to hold in his giggles, but they escaped anyway.
"Years of practice my fair lady." Tetroneaque said with a smug little grin. Of course it helped knowing what was in each drink too, as some burned more than others. His own beverage this night was mostly wine with a mixture of juices and a bit of flavored liqueurs, which made for a smooth way down. Tallie's looked like it had about the consistency of rubbing alcohol with clog remover.
Tetroneaque's second round arrived at this moment and as if to demonstrate he drank it down in one long gulp, using his teeth to keep the fruit in the glass. After swallowing he slugged back the fruit and devoured it. He licked his chomps again, getting any drop that might have escaped the first go round.
He slid the empty glass to Tallie and raised his hand, signaling for another drink.
"I must admit I haven't tried the drink you're having. It seems... interesting." Tetroneaque stated, not sure if he'd like it or not. It certainly seemed potent enough, but the kitsune enjoyed flavor as much as anything else. A powerful drink that tasted awful simply wouldn't do for him.
