Kaiser slowly came into his bookshop. Different smells lingered in the air that made him smiled. Old books mixed with new and that sticky smell of ink. All of the smells together reminded him of when he was little and in his fathers study. It always smelt like that.
He hung his coat on the chair behind the desk where his writing took place.--His desk was out in the open where customers could see. He had a office but that was for if he needed a quiet area. He liked to talk to the customer because half the time they had great ideas.-- His half finished chapter glared at him but he felt no need to write. The characters weren't talking to him, as crazy as it sounds. "I'll get back to you later," he said to the papers on his desk.
He left his desk and started to looked through the books on the shelf. Some of the ones in here he wrote himself.

Starstruck walked in. The sticky smell of ink folded into her throat, and the slight suffocation was a comfort, almost like floating in outer space. She walked up to the desk and cleared her throat inaudibly. " 'ello... sir."
She was kinda nervous and shy, almost a meek person, but she was here for a reason. She usually wouldn't leave the "tent", but she needed a book. A book on the reading of the stars.
She stood like a stick in front of the desk, then migrated over to the shelfs. S, s, s. Her hands drew out of the blue jacket she was wearing, they were pale and detailed, especially against the royal blue. Her nails ran against the spine, and night blue with little yellow stars splattered all around. Her matching skirt brushed against the bookcase, collecting dust and she blew by.

Kaiser turned around at the voice. What stood before him was a very amazing creature. She was the most beautiful thing he had seen a a long time. This had to be a figment of his imagination. Noting could be this way.
He watched her pass by shelfs. Her skirt brushing the shelfs. "Ma'am can I help you," his voice came out hushed. He was having a hard time finding his voice.

She turned around in a flash. She had been drifting into her own world brushing the shelfs, the way matter floats into a black hole, a world where time didn't matter. "Yes, I believe you can," She said quite curtly. "I need a book." She stood there, bathing in her stupidity. The thought hit her like a meteorite. You idiot being what kind of book. You will not be starstruck by this man! Remember what Orion was like! "A book on the reading of the stars. And a book on Greek star mythology. And a empty book."
That was quite the order for Starstruck. She usually didn't ask for things, but... she was in a daze. The man standing before her was... at the least to say, frighting, but in a calming matter. After all, they all said that Starstruck was a fleshed freak of nature in the stars. And they seemed so much alike. A lost soul, he seemed. A confused lost soul. She was confused and lost. He had eye makeup that was black... She thought it was makeup. His skin was pale like hers and his eyes... She really couldn't tell. A mystery.
They were mysteries. Figments of the imagination to the "Real Worlders". Her mind drifted back into space, where it belonged and she sat on the floor, head against the shelf, the backs of her eyes reflecting stars. She had completely forgotten.

He stood a little away from her. He seemed lost in thought but he was clearly just looking at her. He watched her sit down and he nearly forgot what he was doing.
Pulling himself away from his dream like state he blinked twice. "I...I have that," he stammered then went to the shelf. He handed her the books she was looking for. "I have a empty book in the back. Ummm..." he looked at her and trailed off then began to talk again. "Let me go get that."
He walked off quickly leaving her behind. He went into his office and closed the door. He slid down the door and sat against it. His head hung between his knees and a hand hurried its way through his hair. "Kaiser what the hell are you doing," he scolded himself.
He closed his eyes and smiled at the image of her in his head. She was the most wonderful thing he had seen in a while. She looked lost like he was and maybe a bit confused on where she should be. He wondered what her name was. Thoughts like those lingered on his brain until he realized he had left her out there.
Quickly he got up and found a empty book. He came out and sat down beside her. "Here is that empty book you wanted," he smiled at her. "I'm Kaiser and you are?"

StarStruck smiled at him. She just kept smiling as he left and then sstood up slowly. She began to sneak around his desk. She didn't know why, and she didn't want to know why. She couldn't find what she was really looking for, so she walked back.
Her books were old and fraye, and exactly what she was looking for. She slipped her hands deep into the pockets of her jacket. Inside were 10 feather pens, 13 gold peices, 20 pounds of stardust, a notebook, a doughnut, a muffin and a large chocolate cake.
What was she to pay with? Her eyes turned black as coals with two little stars in the middle. She pulled her hair back and smiled. The cake should do... right??

Kaiser smiled at the woman in front of him. She was digging in her pockets while trying to pay for what he gave her. "Ma'am it is only 2 gold coins," he said.
He wrapped up her books. He tied the paper with a leather tie and pushed them to her. "I never caught your name," he smiled at her.

He was surprised when she put ten coins on the table. She wouldn't even let him bargain. With a sigh he picked them up and put them in the pouch on his side.
"That is a lovely name," he said as he turned back to her. "Very unique but I like it." He smiled at her.

She was glad he accepted the coins. He was giving people to low of a price. "Thank you, when you end up being born from the stars, those 7 sisters have odd ideas of names. I almost got named Effluvia... That's a type of fart." She smiled at her almost name.
"Oh, but I digress. What is your name."

Kaiser smiled at her. Haven't I told her my name before, he thought to himself. He could have sworn he did. He had to, right?
"That is interesting," he smiled. "I'm Kaiser. Kaiser Adair is my full name." He ran a hand trough his hair. "My parents weren't to creative. Most demons aren't I guess."
He looked at her eyes. They were dark enough to drown in. "You have really pretty eyes," he said without thinking.

She smiled. She'd never met a real life demon. Would he kill her? Oh god, was he hot or what. "STOP IT!"
She blinked and then reliazed she'd said that out aloud. "Sorry, my name is Plieone. And I already said that... Sorry." She blushed at the comment about her eyes. "Why thankyou sir."
She lifted lifted her hand to his face, almost touching his eye lining, but shot it backward. "I would love to see you at my tent." She whispered, though she made no move to leave.

Kaiser was taken back by her sudden out burst. Was she talking to him or herself? He didn't have the answer to that one. He moved back just a little but not far. He didn't want to move away from her.
Her hand was moving toward his eyes. He stood still but she didn't touch him. Sad thing was he wanted her to touch him. To touch him and not stop.
He moved around his desk to stand closer to her. He was next to her now and could touch her but didn't. He didn't want her to scream and then run off. He reached out to touch her cheek and put the lightest touch on it. He moved his hand back to his side and took a step closer. "I'm not going to hurt you," he whispered. "And I would love to visit your tent."
He smiled at her. She is beautiful, he thought. What the hell am I feeling? Thing is he couldn't answer that question, he didn't know.

StarStruck's skin cooled where he touched her, his hands cool and gentle. "Gosh, I honestly don't always act this way... So... StarStruck. Gosh that was cliche." She smiled at him. "There's a lot of smiling in this conversation."
"I wasn't telling you stop by the way. I was telling me." She stepped forward suddenly, and looked upward at him, he was a little bit taller than her. "I keep repeating myself. I'm really in a daze. I think I'm in..." But she turned her head downward, shy suddenly, like the world was her stage.

Kaiser looked down at her. He ran a hand through her hair, putting it behind her ear. He laughed lightly at her statement. "Yeah I think I feel the same way," he sighed. I just hope you don't end up like the others, dead.
He lowered his head and kissed her forehead. "I like your smile," he said.
He drew back suddenly. Something hit him and it was just to much. No he couldn't love. No he couldn't, he didn't want her dead. He didn't want to see her dead at his feet one night, not like the others. He closed his eyes tight and didn't move. It must have looked like he was trying to get rid of something in his head. Maybe he was.

The kiss blossomed on her forehead, a flower in a lake. Her smile appeared again, a smile that he liked, on a girl that he loved. He loved her, right? Her right hand embraced the place where he had touched her hair. It ran by her nose, he smelled like ink, beautiful, blue ink.
And then he retracted. A turtle shooting into his shell. A startled fish in the sea. She reached out for him, she wanted to reel him back in. "What's wrong. You look as if you're in pai... Did I hurt you?" Her hand shot up to her head, touched her forehead, looking for defects, for blemishs, or a needle. Anything to explain it all.

Kaiser was looking back at the others that had died. All had been killed somehow. He only killed one and she was trying to kill him. He was scared that she would end up the same way, dead. He wanted to love her with everything he had but he was scared to.
"No you didn't hurt me," he opened his eyes. He faced her and took her hands in his, gently. "My past hurt me."
I'm taking a leap of faith here. He bent down to kiss her forehead again. "I'm scared, for you," he whispered in her ear. "But I will protect you with everything I have." His eyes closed and he took a deep breath. She smelled do good it was hard to focus. "Pleione I think I love you."

The past. Pleione had never bothered with the past. She never thought it was important. What was done, was done. "The past doesn't matter. Honestly I doesn't care, as long as you don't kill me."
She began to laugh, and kissed him lightly on the cheek, a peck. She smiled at him and blushed. "You shouldn't be scared," She murmured. "I'm not worried, if anything happens, it happened, and theres no going back." She gave a sarcastic look. "It's not like your a murderer."

He stood straight and looked at her. "Why can't I be more like you," he cupped her face in his hand. "But I will try not to worry."
He smiled at her. He lifted her up and put her on the desk that still had her books on it. He smiled at her and laughed lightly. "Me a murderer," he questioned sarcastically. "Of course Death does wander our world. I have met him once or twice. Nice fellow really." He laughed lightly.
He either hand on the side of her legs and smiled at her. "Would you mind if I stole a kiss?"

"If you were more like me, than you couldn't love you the way I do. After all, We are completly different people, and oppisites attract. And you are quite attractive." Now that StarStruck knew he loved her, it was all over from here. She smiled and gave a blank look and grabbed the books and put them in her lap. "Death is my mistress, and he is your master. It works like that."
"And I would mind if you stole a kiss. So I'll give it to you instead, wouldn't want a theif for a ture love, now would I?" She placed her lips and his, quickly and smoothly. "Now I am wondering, if you work here, and all you do is sell books, what do you do in your free time, beside seduce comstellations into loving you?"
What she was really intrested in was where he lived, but what goes around will come around... evenutally.

For the instant she kissed him he didn't worry about anything. he was lost in the small second of emotion. He wasn't scared that he was going to lose her. Maybe she was right. Maybe.
He bounced up on the counter to her left. His hand was on hers. He looked out into his shop. No one was there besides them. That was okay with him. "I write," he answered her. He was still looking at the books on the shelfs. "I read at times. But when I'm alone I look back on things and use them in my stories." He smiled at himself. "But if I'm not doing that I'm walking around."
"But you know I seduce others all the time," he said sarcastically. He was waiting to get a punch to the arm for saying something. "Many lust after me but only one loves me. I lust after many and love only one. Lust is one of my favorite sins."

StarStruck gave him a look. "What are you talking about? Lust? A favorite sin? Have a useful favorite sin! Like... deception or lying. Or... I don't know, but lust! Really?" She, of course, was joking, pretending to be a mean old wife. She turned her back to him, pulling out her ponytail holder. Her hair fell down her back and she glanced back at him out of the side of her eye.
She turned back around, laughing and smiling at him. "So you really write. I thought the "Writers Den" was just a name for the book store."

He smiled at her. He swallowed a laugh and rolled his eyes at her. "But lying wasn't as much fun," he sighed. "You get nothing out of lying or any of the others. You get wonderful things out of lust."
He turned and sat cross-legged on the desk. He ran a hand through her hair that she let down. It was even better that way, down. He loved the feel if it between his fingers. "I like your hair down," he said. "It frames your face."
"And yes I write," he smiled at her. "A few of theses book are my own creation."

StarStruck stood and walked into Kaiser's office, now that she was comfortable with the man. "I'm impressed, a real writer. And I'm only a gyspy like star reader, born in the stars." A stack of paper lay there. As she sat down in the chair of his, she yelled to the shop. "I'll where it like this next time I see you, I promise." She picked up the paper. "What's this?"
She stood up and handed them to him. She went behind the desk and put her head on his shoulder. Her hair fell over his eyes, and she pulled it off, running her tips againist the outline of his nose, then giving Kaiser a kiss on the cheek as she pulled it back.

Kaiser watched her go into his office. He heard the defined squeak of his chair when she at down. He loved that chair and had great memories with that chair. It was the chair he wrote his first book in.
"What's this," she called from his office. She must have found his stack of papers with his story on it. She came out and handed them to him.
"This is my story or part of it," he smiled at the paper. "I'm at a standstill with them." He traced some of his words with the tip of his finger. "Can't force myself to write. The rest of the story will come in dew time."
He turned to face her. He got off the desk and went to her. One of his hands was carefully placed on her waist. The other hand was on her cheek. "Born in the stars? Sounds exciting."

"I can't write." She smiled. "Being born in the stars is not all that cool. You hang around with the obnoxious Orion, and his dogs that bite you if you come within 3 feet of them. And poor Andromeda is still chained up there. She really just wants a tea party, so you have to feed her yourself." She smiled at him.
"But once more, I digress, what was it like being a demon. Did you drink the blood of a thousand souls from under there skin?" She placed her hand to her mouth. "Unless I offended you in anyway. You can call my brain a black hole if you want."

Kaiser smiled at her. Gently he took her hand away from her mouth. "Now that is different," he said. "I never thought that the stars could be so alive."
He kissed her forehead. "Ahh being a demon," he pulled back and smiled. He flashed his fangs at her. They were short but sharp. "Blood is what I think about a lot. My mind is on the darker side of things. When a normal being will think about the sun and happiness I think about the shadows and death. Death is something that crosses my mind." He looked down at her and smiled his half smile. He let his eyes darken on her. "I am evil in ways, as some say. I think about sex and how to get it, at times. But this is all traits of being demon. The one thing that different about me is I drink the blood of the lost."
He had taken blood from the lost many times before. He would take if from himself if he could. He knew that it was different but the lost never missed blood. They were always egger to give it.
"But my blood isn't red like the blood I take," he said. He was going to give her demons 101. "My blood is a deep green color. The blood I drink turns that color when mixed with mine."

"Bet the dentist hates you!" She poked his cheek where the teeth would be. "Why is your blood green? Is there a spefic reason?" She imagined him pricking her skin, would it hurt? "What do you mean the lost?" SHe wanted to know everything she could about him.
"I wonder what color by blood is, I've never known." SHe scratched her forehead. "If you prick me, will I turn into a demon?" She pulled down his lip and stared at his teeth. "I want to suck your blooooooooooooooood!"

Yep as he thought he was going to be hounded with questions. He laughed at himself for knowing that falling in love would do this. He didn't mind the questions or how she poked him. He didn't mind that she was going to ask all these questions because he had some of his own.
He tried talking but she was holding his lip up. It made it hard to answer without pricking her. He moved her hands away from his mouth so he could talk. "My blood is green becasue...well that is a good question," he thought about it for a moment. "Ah yes. Because I'm basically the living dead. I mean I grew up from being born but that took about two days for me to look the way I do now." He wasn't sure how to describe it. His blood was just the way it was. All demons blood was green, that is how things were. He had never questioned why. "And lost I mean the ones that don't know where they are going anymore. Or the ones that feel like they don't have a place to belong in the world."
"And no it I prick you or drink from you, you won't turn into a demon," he laughed. Being a demon wasn't something you could catch. "Demons are created," he ran a hand through his hair. He didn't know how to explain that one. He was literally made by his mother and father, and not by a womans reproductive system either. "Demons are built in a way. We aren't born."

She was releived that hbe had answered them all instead of being a jerk and being very "Why do you need to know"ish. He was honest, a useful virtue. "And one final one. Do you still drink from people? How, I mena, are we even real? If we aren't real, how can our blood be consumed?" She played with his hair.
"That is the end of 20 questions, I promise, but now you can ask me questions." She wondered what he would want to know about her, she didn't know what could possibly intresting about her, she was just a star.
She smiled. "Fire away."
