Benji didn’t really want to go. To the nurse, that was. But her elbow was starting to hurt a lot and it was bleeding and when she thought of it, her whole body ached slightly as it began to bruise. So, logic would be that she’d just go to the nurse and get it all taken care of. But the idea of the male nurse was bothersome, which was probably why she wasn’t so thrilled with going on her own.
When they reached the nurse’s office, she hesitated, not sure whether she should knock or just walk right in. What if he was away at lunch? Or outside gardening, as she had heard he liked to do. Benji’s body involuntarily began to shiver. Sighing, she stared at the door in indecision.
Just make up your mind!
She raised her hand and knocked ever so slightly at the door.

Kyle was lost in thought as he made his way back to the infirmary. He had spent the last hour or so weeding his section of the garden. His clothing and hands, while mostly clean, still held hints of dust and dirt. While weeding, Kyle’s thoughts had been solely on the Dream World. It seemed that no matter how many wonders or oddities he came across, he kept returning to the maelstrom.
Kyle wanted to talk to the headmaster about it, but had yet to think of a good conversation opener. “Excuse me sir, but I seem to have an unhealthy obsession with part of the dream world…” It even sounded stupid in his mind.
The sight of a student standing at his office door quickly brought him back to reality. He approached her, smiling gently and quickly giving her a once over. At a glance, she didn’t seem to be badly hurt; slightly bruised but not bleeding profusely at least. He noted that she seemed nervous or scared about something.
“Good afternoon.” Kyle pushed open the door to the infirmary and motioned for Odolina to enter. “Please, come in and take a seat. What can I do for you today?”

[OOC: So, since Lysander hasn't shown up, I'll post as though he decided not to come with Benji]
Her body was shaking with nerves as she looked around the nurse’s office. The idea of being examineed by a man was really bothersome and almost enough to make her panic. Taking in deep breaths she tried to calm herself. It’s not so bad, she told herself. He’s just going to make sure that you’re not dying and everything will be alright.
After much hesitation, she sat down and looked at her hands. ”I… uh… well. You see, I um… I was running down the stairs and I sort of… well, I ran into and tripped over this, um, boy… And I skidded across the landing… and well…” Benji cringed and then lifted her elbow with was starting to swell and was still bleeding.

Kyle followed Benji into the office, watching her body language carefully. He almost closed the door behind him but thought better of it. There could be any number of reasons she was acting nervous, the last thing he wanted to do was add to it by making her feel trapped.
Kyle pulled a chair out from behind his desk and hung his coat across its back. He moved the chair a couple feet away from where Benji sat. He listened to her description, focus on her elbow. He would need to get more details, but that could wait until the girl calmed down.
“May I please see? Miss…?” Kyle placed his hands out, palms up, indicating Benji should lean forward so he could examine her elbow. He was attempting to give her control of the situation. She was free to leave at any time, it was her decision to allow him to examine her elbow, if she wanted to tell him her name, she would. Maybe it would help, maybe not.

Benji was trembling slightly, and blushing deeply. But she lent forward, and stared at the floor. Didn’t he need her name to put in the database or whatever? Nurses normally did that. School nurses at least.
Taking in a deep breath, she looked up at him and tried to smile. ”My name is Odolina Benjamin-Elmore. Um… for your records or whatever.” She looked past him at that moment and tried to think of something pleasant. Benji was slowly starting to calm down. He wasn’t scary, she decided.

“Odolina Benjamin-Elmore” Kyle repeated absently. He memorized the name for later. Unless the injury or illness was severe, Kyle tended to not fill out the paperwork until the patient had left the infirmary. He kept all the details in his mind, though, and his reports were meticulous.
Kyle lightly touched Benji’s arm, eyes still on the injury. “That’s quite the unique name Miss Elmore. I’m jealous.” He raised his eyes, meeting Benji’s for a moment. “This may hurt a little. I want to make sure there isn’t any muscle or bone damage even though there doesn’t appear to be.” Kyle lowered his eyes again. “Please let me know if you feel any discomfort.”
Being as gentle as he could, Kyle pressed the area around Benji’s elbow. He started a little above the swelling, checking the bone for breaks or fractures. Not finding any, he moved to the lower arm, again finding nothing. He carefully bent Benji’s arm, making sure she still had full range of motion.
“Ready?” he said, reaching for a tissue from his desk. Kyle pressed the area around the swelling. He watched the skin discolor and caught any blood with the tissue. “Only one more, I promise. Sorry.” Kyle paused, giving Benji’s a quick glance and a sheepish, apologetic smile. Again, being as gentle as possible, Kyle touched the center of the bruise, checking the muscle and bone below.
