Arikan chuckled, examining the flowers as he walked through the morning's misty fog. It was so calm at the moment, with the world fairly silent as they tried to hold on to a few more precious hours of slumber. Ha. Ooh well, they were missing out. Missing out on the fog, on the morning, and on the flowers. Each flower was unique and beautiful, so which one did he chose? He was choosing one. Why did there have to be so many choices! Where was that perfect one? He'd find one, and it would be perfect, make no mistake.
Blue. Bleh. Pink. Didn't it reek? Yellow. Kinda. . .boring. Where was one of those white weeds that you could make a wish and blow on? That's what they should make a garden of! Instead they had these? Who was in charge again? He'd definitely petition it, for the sake of the happiness of the school body. If it so happened to make him happy in the process, that was nice. His shirt made him happy so it wasn't an impossibly hard order to fill. Not that his shirt wasn't amazing! He was wearing a very, very comfortably fitting tan shirt and jacket (signature pic) which was quite simply love.
What was also love? That purple flower! With a grin he plucked the flower from it's original spot so that he could twirl it about with two of his fingers. Around and around the purple flower went. Around and around. Ooh, what fun! It was so amazing, and it beat all the other flowers hands down.

Don't stand there, Looking for excuses 'Cause you won't get them, No you won't get them, from me. Whatever makes you shine, Whatever makes you happy Whatever makes you glow That's the way it should be. A nice relaxing walk was the thing Niko needed to prepare for the day. To bask in the beauty while getting in some excersise, he decided to go to the garden where beautiful sights met the wonderful smell of the plantlife. It was too early for too many people to be up, though he'd ran into a few in the halls of the Academy. Not too many. The majority of them were sleeping. Saturday and all, they could get away with sleeping in. Niko wasn't the type to do such a thing even with the option open. He also wasn't the type of person that would desecrate school property by picking flowers as the boy he was approaching had.
"Hey, man, maybe you shouldn't mess with the flowers. I mean, who knows when they'll get around to planting anymore."Niko suggested calmly as he came to a stop a few feet behind the kid.

|| Pretty color, Nikki. I must say, touché. ||
"Yeah?"Arikan turned to face the stranger. What to do? What to do? He had to think fast, and he had to do something considering the fact that the stranger was an adult. "Well, if they don't plant some soon, I won't have any breakfast." Arikan stated as he lifted the end of the plant to his lips. To further the point, a few seconds later he was biting off a tiny piece of the stem.
. . .
Bad idea. One of those 'do not try this at home' type ideas. They should put labels on the flowers! He'd sue. Go sue happy like the rest of the world, actually. Did they have a landscaper? They should. And he should be paid to post warnings. Any, absolutely any thing necessary to avoid such a horrid demise for any other innocent bystander.
Too bad he couldn't consider that just yet. Instead the color drained from his face. He pursed his lips tightly, then closed his eyes trying to get the nasty taste from his mind even as it seemed to fill his mouth.

Don't stand there, Looking for excuses 'Cause you won't get them, No you won't get them, from me. Whatever makes you shine, Whatever makes you happy Whatever makes you glow That's the way it should be. Woah. Kids were weird sometimes. Was it the morning? The earliness? Or was this kid just a spaz? Maybe he was high or something. Or drunk? Maybe he had a hangover? Well, no, he'd probably be miserable with a hangover, not acting strange. Really. Who ate a flower to make an unnecessary point? Well, he looked like he was going to be sick. That seemed unpleasant, especially in the nice, beautiful garden. So Niko dug out a candybar from his pocket, offering it to the kid to help get the taste out of his mouth.
"Hey, here, this'll help.,"Niko stated. Besides, what better way to get on a stranger's good side than to offer them something sweet? Especially candy. Kids loved candy.

What? Here? Here what? How the hell could the man help him? Did he have some magical serum of counter flowers to make the taste go away? Or did he magically make a glass of water or juice appear? No such luck. Instead Arikan was being offered a candy bar. Nice. Why did he open his eyes again? And why was he going to bother speaking? Yet, out the words tumbled.
"Hell no."Arikan stated bluntly. No. He was not going to eat that, especially if his mother wasn't here to order him to. No. Nice or rude, no. He did not want some man's candy bar. The taste was far from pleasant, yet not worth sugar, either.
"I mean, my mom always said don't accept things from strangers."Ares offered as a cover. On second thought, at least he could try to be nice, right? It was easier to understand that some kid was going by his mother's rules opposed to hated sugar.

Whatever makes you shine, Whatever makes you happy Whatever makes you glow That's the way it should be. The kid couldn't accept things from a stranger? What, he was a rapist on a school campus? Okay, so maybe it could happen. But he wasn't. Still, if the kid wanted to be aquainted with him first, he'd give him his name. Yet, it was a wrapped candy bar. Was he just trying to be difficult? If he was, Niko'd definitely do his best to remember because he made a habit of knowing who to watch and who to allow freedom to. You had to trust your students, you had to trust that they respected you enough to do what you expected of them. Maybe the kid was just tired, or any of the other things he'd thought of before. Or, maybe Niko just had no idea.
"I'm Nikolai Nixon- I mean, Niko. Mr. Nixon if you prefer."Niko stated before offering the candy bar again,"Now will you take it? The sugar will take the taste away, I'm sure of it. And really, I wouldn't eat it, too sweet."

"Niko, is it? Well, whoever put you up to this, Nikki-san, better watch it."Arikan muttered as he unwillingly removed a plastic cylinder from his pocket. They had a picture of a watermelon and they said 'glucose tablets', but when Ares wasn't referring to them as pure evil, he'd call them sugar pills. They were a necessary part of life because his body didn't produce enough sugar on it's own. Yet, still, why did this random person need to babysit him? Couldn't he keep track of his own blood sugar? He could! And if his parents didn't believe that, well, they'd be proven wrong. Arikan was a very responsible seventeen year old kid. So, who else knew? Who else'd play this game with him?
"Do you know my parents, then, Nikki-san? Or, did they tell a nurse or headmaster? A teacher? A counselor? Who are you? Not a janitor, you're dressed too nicely. Unless it's just a special occasion."Arikan questioned.
