PLAY-BY: Model: Kalandra ( fuzzyyak.deviantart.com/gallery/#_search/kalandra )appearance
Trixie stands at a respectable 5' 8'', her frame at one time athletic though now just a faintly muscled slenderness. Green-blue eyes glitter with an ever-humored smile while her grinning face is framed by sandy blonde hair, which appears to reach the middle of her shoulder blades though it's usually clipped loosely by a hair-claw.
She dresses in a rather teacher-ly fashion, usually. Button up shirts, petite blazers, knitted vests, though she never does look stuffy. Occasionally she wears long beaded necklaces, antiquated silver rings or ivory bangles, perhaps fine drop earrings now and again. Whatever she wears, though, she keeps pristinely clean.personality

Hates: Prudes, pricks, pretentious snobs, over-acting, screeching music.

She fits her name well, by all positive natures, that Trixie Forrest. Fun, cheerful, outgoing, all accurate descriptions of Trixie. Airheaded, though? Not in the least. That had to be the only thing about her name that was bothersome; whenever some jerk or panty-twisted woman decided to pick a fight with Trixie, they had almost always jumped to insinuating that she was a bimbo like women named 'Candi' or 'Bambi'. Insults always roll off her back. Sort of. Watching her brother, she'd learned to at mimic his suave recoveries, to at least appear put together and unphased during the altercation and for the hour following. However, late at night, it almost always comes back and almost always leaves her either seething or devastated.
Thus, the cheer enters. "When you run out of words, simply smile", "laughter is the best medicine", "humor is the grease for peace"; apt phrases for Trixie to live by. It is extremely rare to find Ms.Forrest frowning, even when she's contemplative. Jokes are common, even corny ones to get by during her lectures. Practical jokes are a delight, too, though she mostly plays them on her students. She's been known to throw down snap-rocks next to a sleeping student, then scold the one next to him with a playful smirk as she pins the deed on him. Directions hidden halfway down a test that say "stop where you are and turn this test in, bring me a cupcake tomorrow and you get full credit." Outside of toying with the students, Trixie has a long standing game of "make Alin flip" between herself and her best friend, Rose. A hard game to play, he almost never reacts to their jokes with anything more than a smooth smile.
In most schools, she would stick out like a sore thumb amongst the teachers. So many staff members of so many schools were nothing but stick-in-the-mud up-n-ups. If not for her matured looks, it would be safe to say she'd be mistaken for a student, nine times out of ten. She doodles on her papers during staff lectures, grades papers with rocket ships and ninjas, and is even occasionally late for her own classes, thanks to chatting up students in the halls.
Though a thoroughly smiley being of brightness, disciplinary actions are not difficult for her to make. Hers always come with a weird quirk. Rarely does she assign a simple detention, usually they are tailored to the student's personality or whatever shenanigan they'd just pulled. Sweetly stern is a good way to describe her method, but by no means is she timid. Truthfully, the only people she really shrinks from during a conflict would have to be her own family; every the good daughter and faithful sister, family fighting is just too painful.
Deep on the inside, Trixie ponders the complexities of life when she's on her own, a soulful stare off into nothingness while teetering on the edge of a fence is not an uncommon sight while she is contemplative. Occasionally she'll share her thoughts with Rose or Alin, though usually being self conscious about it she rarely speaks completely in depth in her thoughts.
As a caring individual, Trixie never turns away any who come to her in need of counsel. When she is deeply concerned about a student or colleague, sitting on her hands is hard to do, and keeping the weight of concern off of her shoulders even harder. Students are never simple numbers or meaningless faces to Trixie; each on is special and nothing more does she desire but to see them blossom healthfully. Nor are her co-workers simply co-workers, but extended family. One could call that a fault of Trixie's; being so optimistic to consider a whole school like family may be naive and open too many doors for sorrow, but for Trixie...well, there really is no choice but to feel close to the people she lives with.family & history
FATHER: Michael Forrest, Age 62
MOTHER: Anna Forrest, Age 64
SIBLINGS: Alin Forrest, Age 32
OTHER FAMILY: None
HISTORY:
Trixie was always the well behaved one, at least in front of her parents, and she was always the one with a well packed first aid kit stuffed into her pockets no matter where she went. She wasn't necessarily a worry wart or a goody-two-shoes, she simply liked to see life running smoothly.
Her brother, Alin, was already well ahead of her in years when she was born and thus they were never really in the same "play circle", as the other school kids would see it, but she idolized big brother and relished every moment spent together. It was weird to many that she and her brother were as thick as thieves, with their age difference most other siblings would rarely see one another. They never paid 'the norm' any mind, though. She was always thankful when he would listen to her thoughts or impart his wisdom-of-the-world to her. His words always carried weight with her, though she was never the type to just follow ideals blindly. Perhaps this is where the pondering solitude habits began. Alin would give her his thoughts on things like love, and she would absorb them. They would spend the day doing whatever they joyfully could, like him taking herself and Rose to the movies or the local carnival. Then, at the end of the day when she was alone, she would revisit those thoughts imparted and then decide her stance. She was quite generally firm on her beliefs, but when it came to her parents...It was hard to disagree with them, and thus she usually stated her thoughts once and then nodded respectfully and let them win the argument.
Though, don't be mistaken. Life wasn't drudgery and angst. Falling outs were rare, to be honest, and often they recovered quickly. Trixie loved her family and never once stopped, never once uttered 'I hate you!' to anyone no matter how much teenage angst she may have ever felt. Family was always more important to Trixie than herself, even right down to thoughts on religion. After seeing and hearing all that involved Alin and his romantic preferences, it left Trixie a bit shaken, a bit confused. The beliefs they were taught would have her deny her own brother, but she could never do that. But she couldn't disappoint her parents, either. Thus she became all the more quiet when it came to church and beliefs. She attended when mom and dad said it was time to, and wore the cross she'd received as a birthday present from her Grandmother. As she grew older she would attend less, and question more, and an answer would always be just out of reach.
Music would be another thing that kept Trixie close to her family, as well. She started with the piano, toyed with the violin, and even annoyed the folks on the weekends with a loud drum set. When playing the piano she would sing to herself, though often she'd play while Rose sang and sometimes they would duet.
When the time came to choose a career path, Trixie wandered a bit. She thought about being a nurse or a doctor, what with having a fascination with the inner workings of the human body. She interned for a while at a hospital as a candy striper, but the atmosphere was entirely too dreary. She considered being a music teacher, but the constant off keys would be far too jarring for the smooth relaxation she expected music to be. She even thought of being an actress, but watching and thinking of what newspapers and paparazzi did to stars was just too much. She settled, at last (somewhere in the middle of college, truthfully), upon teaching. She always did have a flair for explanations
, and the thought of lasting in a kid's memory as "that teacher who didn't suck" was pleasing.
So from high school, where she excelled in sciences (scaring other girls, mostly, when she dissected the frog and held up its organs dramatically) and starred in school plays, she carried her inclinations to college where she scared other women by willingly assisting in an autopsy and holding a human liver up curiously, and consistently held speaking roles in both school and community productions.dream form
Trixie manifests in the dream world as ... herself. How thrilling!
Always feeling like there is so much more to learn in the world and never feeling like she understands it all, she appears in her dreams always wearing a school girl's uniform. A red ribbon is always tied to what looks like a pocket watch hiding in her pocket, but upon opening it is a compass with the image of Alin inside, a fairly easy symbol of Trixie having grown up with Alin as her moral compass.
In her dream form she wears two earrings. One on her right ear is the cross, symbolizing the influence of her parents, on the other ear is a pentagram. The pentagram does not symbolize Wicca or Paganism or Satanism or any religion in particular, it represents all that is different from her upbringing. These objects showing up as earrings exist the ideals of the world "having her ear"; words imparted by various sources.
