{ I'm getting closer to pushing you off life's long edge }

There wasn't much reason for her out of place nature today, but there must have been some sort of uncracked code that had left her lastingly on edge. It was a strange feeling; a feeling that she didn't want to deal with anyone that gave her lip. Her mind was on too much as of lately, and the smallest negative aspect would most likely send her off on a tangent. Comparatively, she felt as though she was being watched. Unsatisfied with herself, she opened up the doors from the sunny rays outside and stepped into the sensual coolness of the inside interior. Looking down at her watch, she paused and glanced around.
She didn't have to be anywhere for another half an hour. How quaint.
There was nothing else she needed to complete. All of her papers were graded and every painting had been finished from the weekend. Her classroom was tidy and kept and she knew there was nothing that needed to be done there. Perhaps it was time for a rest. Caterina found herself a seat near a bright potted tree and placed her bags onto the ground. The relief eased her tension and a sigh escaped her lips. The relaxation of the moment was what she needed.
For a rare occasion as it was, Caterina lowered her hunch and placed her hands onto her face. How long it all had seemed - and the emptiness of the area seemed almost empowering - perhaps even a bit frightening. Yes. The majority of the students must have been in class. Closing her eyes within her hands, she rested an oncoming headache.
Ooc:: Oh my goodness, that was terrible. Sorry, Bee! D:

Though Rose had sort of made it a habit of wandering around outside, she did often enjoy being inside as well. In fact, the indoors provided a sort of serenity that the outdoors didn't, even without the natural flow of breeze and living vegetation. So Rose was content, today, to just wander and figure out where things are. Which was probably a bad idea, in hindsight, since she wasn't particularly adept with directions.
But she was not thinking along those lines and so was not worrying about her lack of directional sense. She wandered through the halls with no purpose or agenda, just trying to see if she could find something interesting, and eventually spotted another human being. Well, she had spotted other humans, but all of them had either been with people or looked purposeful, so she hadn't bothered them. This one, however, looked quite alone and also a little sad.
She spent a few seconds pondering going over to her and finally decided that it would be rude not to, when she could clearly offer help to the less cheerful than she. And Rose was anything but rude, so, straightening her tee shirt, she bopped over. It occurred to her halfway there that she probably shouldn't be too overtly chipper, since that might make this woman upset. And that was the last thing she wanted to do.
By the time she reached the woman, she was sufficiently normalified and satisfied with her level of cheer. Not wanting to impose, she took a seat a little further down on the bench and glanced over at her.
"Hellooo," she said, still sounding quite chipper, despite every effort not to. "Youuu look upset." There was nothing like beating around the bush.

C aterina didn't lift her gaze to see who it was that sat beside her. There wasn't really any point in doing so. She didn't really care who it was. Nor was it of any importance. It wasn't until Rose actually said something in a rather cheery and pleasant voice that she lifted her gaze to meet hers. There seemed to be sparkles - sheer fireworks - dancing in her eyes. The mere excitement that poured from her features was enough for Caterina to stand up and just walk away from it all.
Upset? No, that wasn't the word.
'Here. How about I tell you something, Rose. I just found out that a man that I grew up with, fell in love with, then lost everything with has just enrolled with the school faculty and will surely make my life entirely embarrassing. Not only am I hiding in shame from the moronic confrontation I just endured, but I am merely sulking because I know that it will be difficult for me to allow such happiness into my life. I am a complicated woman. How's about THAT Rose?' Caterina thought silently as she merely looked into the woman, almost letting her know that there WAS something wrong and that she didn't want to talk about it.
"Not to be rude, but I don't believe that I feel like discussing it at the moment." Caterina placed her head back into her hands. Rose seemed like a sweet person - good intentions and everything - but there was something about her that didn't exactly sit well with Caterina. The positivity every time she met with the woman turned her stomach. Not to mention that she looked like she still belonged in her high school days.
