NICKNAMES: Mrs. Harrison-Students Lindsay-Teachers/Friends
AGE: 24
GROUP: Somnium Staff
BIRTHDAY: April 11th
OCCUPATION Literature Studies Teacher
GENDER: Female
PLAY-BY: Katie Cassidyappearance
When the average person first gazes over at Lindsay, they may notice that she is taller than most, but not too tall. She stand at around 5'7, but sometimes claims she's 5'8 just because she wants to feel taller, as if being taller somehow makes you more important in society. Most of her body is made up of a long, slender torso complimented by shorter, but just as slender, legs. Not too many people take notice of this, as most people stare at her face rather than her feet, but her feet are much larger than that of a woman her height. Her shoe size varies between 10-11 1/2, depending on what type of shoes she's purchasing. Because of this size, it makes it harder to find fashionable shoes that aren't a size 6 or 7.
The two main features on Lindsay's heart shaped face are her rich, brown eyes and her bright, pearly, smile. Her eyes are a rich brown, with flecks of a caramel brown surrounding the pupil, making her eyes almost appear to shimmer in the light. Lindsay takes pride in her smile; she went through 5 years of braces and other orthodontic procedures to end up where she is today. But, it was worth it for her, when she could smile and not be ashamed to be known as the "metal mouth" or "brace face" through all of middle school and half of her high school years. In fine, delicate strands falls her light brown hair, which starts out pin-straight at the scalp and works its way down to wavy/curly at the ends.
What can you usually find Lindsay wearing? Well, that's a tough question, considering her wardrobe is as versatile as her haircut. When teaching, you can usually find her in a simple outfit consisting of jeans and a plain top, like the one pictured here. But, being the party girl she is, she needs to have a fun, flirty dress to wear out on the town. That would be mostly like the one pictured here. But, you'd never catch her without her mother's golden charm bracelet, pictured here.personality
Likes:
Reading Charles Dickens and Shakespeare
Teaching
Socializing
Tae-Kwon-Do
Lindsay loves to be the life of the party, and is proud of it. At nearly every party you find her at, when she's not busy planning her lessons, she can be found living it up and talking to everyone she can. Some call her flirtacious, others say its just who Lindsay is. But, that's just one side of Lindsay, the other side seems to be her polar opposite. At home, when alone by herself, she enjoys curling up in her bed and reading a good book, like Dickens or Shakespeare. Her favorite author by far is Shakespeare, if you find a copy of his work around her apartment, you're sure to find penciled in notes and highlighted phrases. And just for self-defense purposes, she is enrolled in local classes in the art of tae-kwon-do. Most of her friends are unaware that she takes tae-kwon-do, where she is a green belt, but its something she does to keep in shape and learn to protect herself.
Dislikes:
Grading Papers
Guys With Cocky Attitudes
Playing Sports (Basketball, Football, Soccer type sports)
Lindsay is what you might call a girly-girl, she doesn't enjoy getting down and dirty like many tom boys/guys. If you ask her to go outside and play a game of soccer, she'll instantly find an excuse and sneak out ASAP. Another thing that bugs her are guys who carry around cocky attitudes wherever they go, thinking that because of this attitude they can get anything or anyone they want. For example, when she goes to a party with her boyfriend after she's done with school related matters, she'll find there are a few men who decide that because she's having a good time that she should have "a good time" with them too. But most of all, she feels that grading papers is an utter waste of time. To her, feels that she should be able to trust students to grade their own papers, but then again, there are those students she can't trust to grade their own papers and just sigh and grade them herself.
Goals:
Start a Family
Enlighten the Minds of Somnium
Someday Travel to Ireland
When sitting there daydreaming, Lindsay dreams of the day that she may someday get married to her boyfriend, Bryan Scanlon. Though she knows he's too shy to ask her to marry him, she hopes that someday he'll pop the question. If she does get married, she wants to have at least two kids, the genders don't really matter, but starting a family has been a dream since she was a small child. Here at Somnium, she hopes to enlighten the minds of the youth that pass through these halls. Literature studies may not be the most interesting, or popular, class on campus, but she does the best she can to make the students interested in learning about Shakespeare and other famous authors. In the near future, she dreams of
traveling to Ireland, the home of her ancestors.
Fears:
Clowns
The Cold Shoulder
Horror Movies
Ever since she was a young child, she's had a recurring nightmare about a clown sneaking into her room and trying to kill her. It still haunts her today, even at the age of 24, but she rarely tells anyone except her boyfriend when it happens. One thing she gravely fears is the cold shoulder, or the feeling of being utterly and truly alone. It started in high school, when her friends slowly began to turn on her, and ever since she's had a small problem with trust issues. Finally, she utterly fears horror movies, she can't see one without nearly wetting her pants. That's right, a grown woman nearly wetting her pants, its as embarrassing as it sounds. She does the best she can to cover it by avoiding those types of movies, but if there's not a way out, she'll just try to leave for "bathroom breaks" or "getting a drink" periodically.
Overall, Lindsay is an upbeat and positive person who loves to just be around people. She knows that a teacher has to have some sort of control over her class, but she finds it better to just befriend her students, so they find class less of a lecture and more of a time to have a little fun. In all her lessons she tries to incorporate at least one sort of game to try and get the class into it. The reason she does all this is the fact that she's a kinesthetic learner, a hands on person, but does incorporate audio and visual learning into her lessons.
When not at school, Lindsay will do one of two things based on her mood that day: Go back to her apartment to be with her boyfriend, or call someone to go out and have some fun. If she's with Bryan, she'll usually just curl up on the couch with him and watch a movie with him. If she's calling her friends, she'll dress up and find the best spot to dance around and have some fun. Sometimes Bryan will tag along to get a drink, but he never minds having some fun.family & history

STEP-FATHER: Tony Harrison, 47,
MOTHER: Kiana Harrison, 48
SIBLINGS: Shannon Harrison, 21

HISTORY:
Early Beginnings: Colorado
Most babies come into the world in a charming family with parents who are in a happy, healthy, relationship. Sadly, this was not the case for Lindsay. Her mother, Kiana, was in an abusive relationship with her current boyfriend, Jackson. She had endured months of it before, but once she knew she had a living being inside her who needed tender, loving, care, Kiana knew it had to stop. After going to the police station and explaining everything, she managed to get a restraining order against Jackson. But, Kiana had nowhere to turn, a 24 year old girl alone in the world with a baby on the way, it wasn't a pretty situation. A few months after giving birth to Lindsay, she found the man of her dreams in Tony Harrison, a tall, dashing, compassionate man who didn't care about her past but just wanted her to end up alright. On October 4th, 1987, the two were married.
Growing up in Colorado, Lindsay was always presented with wide open spaces and never a dull moment. Tony owned a large ranch out in the country, full of horses, cows, and a collection of other farm animals. Its strange, as a child, she enjoyed getting down and dirty cleaning the stables and playing with all the animals. Most of all, Lindsay loved learning to ride her brown mare, Chestnut. In elementary school, as soon as the bell rang, she would sit on the school bus waiting with anticipation until she could make it out to the stables and ride with Chestnut as far as their desired. Everything was fine and dandy, until while riding at the age of 10, Chestnut broke her front leg. Lindsay knew what would happen next, and just sobbed all night long for her best friend.
Middle School/High School: Massachusetts
Just after she graduated 5th grade, the ranch's success began to plummet, Kiana and Tony were having trouble making ends meet. Lindsay and her little sister, Shannon, tried to do what they could do to help by selling lemonade and doing chores for other, wealthier families. Though they knew it would never be enough, their little hearts were determined to help their family as best they could. Sadly, the family decided to sell the ranch and move out east to Massachusetts. Tony's parents owned an apartment complex on the outskirts of Boston, and told their son that he could come get an apartment for his family, real cheap. By July, they were out in Massachusetts, living in a one bedroom apartment in the suburbs. Times were tough, but Lindsay never asked for too much, knowing that you have to make do with what you have.
Middle school started off on the wrong foot for Lindsay. All the girls wore brand new jeans, fashionable tops, and a ribbon in their pony tail, making her look like a total outcast. Her outfits consisted of a plaid top, worn out jeans, braids in her hair, and a pair of cheap sneakers. It almost seemed like for most of 6th grade she was the social pariah, but Lindsay would just show up to school with a smile on her face and remind herself that she was here to learn, not to socialize. By 7th grade, her family had managed to make enough money for Lindsay to buy herself some new clothes, and managed to find a crowd to fit into.
The rest of middle school wasn't that eventful, except for the time she was the spelling bee champion for her school, but that wasn't very exciting in the grand scheme of her life. High school started out much better, with a wardrobe fitting for Massachusetts, and managed to find clubs to suit her style. As a freshman, she decided she wanted to be a surgeon, maybe a neurosurgeon, or a vascular surgeon. This dream burned alive in her heart while she studied vigorously to achieve the highest grades possible. In junior year, she was presented with the works of Shakespeare, and immediately indulged herself in them. Within a few weeks, she realized what she wanted to do with her life, be a teacher in literature studies. Some of her friends found it to be an odd job, teachers rarely make much money, but Lindsay knew this was something she truly wanted to do.
College Years: University of Liverpool
College, it was like a dream come true. For years she had feared that her parents would never be able to afford college due to financial reasons, but that scholarship had made all the difference. Lindsay studied with a major in English Literature Studies and a minor in Theatre Arts. College was a time of self-exploration and having fun for Lindsay, who as a child was rarely invited to go anywhere. You could always see Lindsay partying with her girlfriends or going to town to catch a movie with her boyfriend. At that time, her boyfriend was Derek, an Italian boy studying with a major in Theatre Arts, so they had plenty of class time together.
By the time she was 21, you could find Lindsay after class out at the local hot spots living it up. It was her attempt to make up for those years of youth when nothing just seemed to fit in right. Everything was going right for her, until Derek invited her over to his dorm with a couple of friends to watch a scary movie. Up until then, she had never had a problem with scary movies, and gladly accepted. The movie was something uncreative, another horror sorority movie, every one was laughing at how dull the plot was. That was until the killer jumped out the closet and made Lindsay scream, wetting her pants. Derek didn't console her, he just laughed and said, "Hey everybody! Baby wet her diaper!" Lindsay was ashamed of herself and fled back to her dorm, not ready to ever face her friends again.
Weeks later, they were still snickering at her. Lindsay suddenly felt that loneliness she felt as a child, and didn't know where to turn. That was, until she met Bryan, a British Student who also was also majoring in English Literature Studies. He was different, he looked past the outside and loved the brainy girl inside of her. Lindsay had never felt more accepted than she had with him.
Coming to Somnium
After graduating from Liverpool, Lindsay and Bryan decided to move in together, to a town just outside Somnium Academy. Bryan took up a job at a local high school, while Lindsay was still looking for a class to teach. Then, she found Somnium. It seemed like just the place for her. That was, until she found out that she had to live on campus for some odd reason. It was a tough decision, but she and Bryan agreed that she would spend the weekends and holidays with him, and if she was happy, he would be happy. This year will be her first at Somnium.dream form
In her dream form, Lindsay finds herself as a fox, or at least part fox. Her light brown hair has now turned a flaming red, which hangs down most of her backside. An elongated, furry, tail flows out of her backside. The rest of her body is in human form, but you are most likely to find her wearing a white long sleeved shirt with a black vest over it, a flowing black skirt that falls to her knees, and long, black stockings.
At first, Lindsay didn't understand why she was the way she was, when most people were fairies and other kinds of mystic creatures. But, she finally understood that this suited who she was. Foxes are cunning are sneaky, just like her mind works. But foxes are also curious and playful when they want to be, much like herself.
