Lenne found It hard to believe that she was really in Somnium Academy, she wasn’t sure why, but more than likely it was something to do with the whole suddenness about her arrival. After Lenne had let it slip about the supposed “bullying” at her old school, it shocked Lenne how fast they had pulled her out and transferred her to this new academy.
So Lenne found herself alone, in a large boarding school, without any idea of what to do. For a while Lenne didn’t even move from her room. She wasn’t used to the whole Idea of not being home with her grandparents. She had always been with them in some way or another. I mean the only time that Lenne wasn’t with her grandparents was when she was at school. When she thought about it she guessed that it was a bit sad, but she didn’t care. She was happy we’re she had been, she felt safe with her grandparents, and they were trying their best to help her remember the missing eight years of her life.
Now you must be wondering why Lenne never protested to her grandparents decision to send her to Somnium Academy, well she did, though she wasn’t as strait forward as she has planed. When she had been pulled out of school, she didn’t think that they were going to send her to a boarding school. It wasn’t planed just as it wasn’t when Lenne told her grandparents about the “bullying” even though it wasn’t really bullying, it was just teasing, Lenne knew that, but her grandparents had taken it a little too literal. They were old and worried, Lenne couldn’t blame them. That’s why she didn’t argue when it came to transferring out of Hill High.
But Lenne had to protest when she found out that she was going to and Academy deep in England. Lenne lived in England, so it wasn’t like she was going to a different country, but sometimes it felt like it. After all she was in a completely different place, away from anything familiar and alone. It made her nervous, knowing that she was alone. But then again who could blame her it was a new environment with no time to adjust.
It was so fast leaving Lenne no time to get her footing. Right after she had been introduced to the principle she was shown around campus, shown her room, and even had her classes arranged. It was enough to make her head spin. But what was worse was finding out about the Dream World. That one really threw Lenne for a loop, she was so close to believing the man crazy that, she was ready to run out the door and never come back. But after the first night she understood she got a glimpse of the world first hand, though it was only for a minute or so. Not enough for anyone to really notice her, but enough to notice herself. Let’s just say waking up as a clown was not the best way to start the morning. Lenne didn’t sleep for the rest of the night.
The next morning started classes. Lenne felt lost and behind, since she had come in the middle of the semester, though she still tried she still couldn’t help but feel over whelmed by the whole thing. This was going to take some getting used to, that Lenne was sure of.
After the initial shock was over, Lenne was able to venture out of the room. She found herself outside the dorms just wondering around. She passed many building some of which she knew from her classes, but the one area she had been to was the playing field. And that’s where Lenne found herself now, with her camera around her neck and her woolen sweater pulled tight around her. Though it was only fall Lenne couldn’t help herself when it came to her sweater. It had been her mothers and she couldn’t really bring herself to take it off most of the time, (Other then it being too hot to keep it on.)
The playing field was vast much more then what Lenne was used to, the only playing field that her old school was noticeable smaller then Somnium Academy’s. As a result Lenne lifted her camera and removed the lens. She agreed with herself that this was picture worthy; even though Lenne didn’t play any kind of sports it was still a shock to see such a vast difference to her old school. And she was sure her grandparents would like to see it.
So Lenne lifted her camera up to her eye focused her lens and took a quick snap shot. She took a look at the digital screen on the back just to see how it came out. The picture was fine for a low view. But Lenne felt that a higher view would get a better quality, after all there was a lot more to see from higher up. So Lenne looked around trying to find a good place to take a picture, she found long row of bleachers, and decided that that would work just fine. So she made her way over to them and claimed up to the top and stood on the highest bleacher. She brought her camera up again and looked around.
Lenne noted how different everything looked through her lens. She smiled slightly and took a few pictures of the field, being sure to take in the land marks so she could identify them later. After she was done Lenne decided to sit for a bit, though she walked around most of the day she wasn’t tired. She just wanted to take in the scenery, though some would wonder why after all it was just a playing field, it wasn’t like it was a garden or something else of that nature. But when you thought like Lenne did, you thought that everything was meant to be like a picture, it was supposed to be looked at even if only by one person. So Lenne sat there and watched, as some people around the field spoke while others played games. And for Lenne that was enough.
