Will felt alone, for the first time he felt alone. This feeling he couldn't shake. He was numb on the inside after just hearing the news. He shook all over, his fingers holding the paper gently. The paper had the news he never wanted to hear, the news that no one should know. He couldn't think, he couldn't breath. What he loved was gone, just like that.
He wanted to cry so badly but he couldn't, not here. Not on the front lawn of the school. Not at school. There was only one person that he knew would understand the pain that flowed through him. He tried to cry but the tears just weren't there, he couldn't find them. The pain ran to deep and what was bad was he got a letter saying it.
He took a shaky breath and read the words on the letter again. They didn't make sense to him. he couldn't believe the words but he had to. The dog-tags fell in his hand when he opened it the first time so he had to. His brother was gone, dead. The one person that he wanted was taken from him, in two seconds. Sure Will didn't like his brother that much but his brother understood him.
For once all hope was gone from Will, all feelings but sorrow. He couldn't hide it this time, the emotion was to strong. Weak as he was he couldn't' cry. He wouldn't allow himself to cry.

Kalen hurried across the front lawn of the school with a package in her hands, hoping that she remembered how to get around the giant school. Sighing, she deicide that maybe she shouldn’t be in such a hurry it wasn’t like she had anything to do or anybody to hang out with for that matter.
Stopping shortly when she saw a guy standing there by himself and he didn’t look happy, he looked as if he wanted to be left alone with his thoughts. Kalen started to turn and walk the other way, but years of being told to watch out for other people not just yourself weighted on her and also thought that she'd never want to be alone if something was wrong.
Finally she made up her mind to go over and talk to the guy and if he wanted her to leave she would. It seemed perfect in her mind; she just hoped the guy wouldn’t be offended by her just walking up to him and talking to him. She made it about two feet away from him and said “Sorry if I’m prying, but are you okay? Is there anything I can do to help, I’m a good person to talk to or so I’ve been told.”
Smiling, she wished that she could make him feel at least a little better or be of some help instead of the nuisance like her father always told her she was. Shifting the package in her arms, she waited for the boy to answer, praying that he wasn’t one of those types that would yell at her to go away.

Will felt like dying. Killed. His brother killed in a freak accident with a bullet. IT was chance in a million but yet it happened. He just couldn't believe it. It was all just so overbearing. The once blue skies were slowly turning into darker shades of gray. Maybe it was just around him.
A girl came up with a package in her arms. He looked at her but said nothing till she stopped talking. She seemed sweet enough and he wasn't about to turn her away. He smiled weekly at her. "No I'm not alright," he sighed. "I mean I was alright till about five minutes ago." He folded the letter and shoved it in his pocket. "I'm not sure you can help. I just lost my brother."
He wasn't sure what she could do. He dind't even know her name. His other friends wouldn't care right now. He just didn't know what to do. He need a friend that he could talk to. He needed someone to say it was going to be okay.

Benjamin had been sitting on the front stoop and watched as the man and woman conversed for a moment. He decided that he should put his book down; he wasn't going to do anything just watch.
He watched the man as he leaned against the cold pressed stone and watched them talk for a moment, he knew that look, it was the look of sadness. It was the look that he had seen many times before, anyone who has lost someone dear to them knew that look, as he had himself had that look.
He was much too far away to hear the conversation, but the body was all he needed to decipher what he needed to. The body can tell you a lot of things; such as they had no previous interaction, if it was previous it was very short.
His eyes looked at the man first and watched his posture and then over towards the woman. They didn't know one and other, their body language suggested that as he was sure that they were merely becoming aquinted and watched them as he leaned forward now. She had approached him and he smirked as he knew that this was going to be interesting. Benjamin was a realist, as such he knew that pain was a part of life, not a part he himself liked to deal with, but to watch others cope with it, well to say the least it put him at ease.
His mind began to wonder exactly what it was they were talking about. He wasn't one to nose into others business, but this place was far too dull and he was sure that there was some way to spice it up. Though they say that it will happen when it happens, so he will just watch them.
He moved to lean his back against the cold hard stone that was used as a arm railing. he was tired, perhaps if he watched them then he would understand some about the exact nature of the people here.
He yawned, this time zone change is not exactly the best for this ole boy. He had wondered what it was about moving to another place with a new time zone that made everyone so tired. He watched them and just leaned his head back further and sunk down into the step so his back was arched some.
He watched them and really didn't care if they noticed that he was at all, it was interesting to watch them talk back and forth.
