Cordelia is, to put it simply, a very beautiful girl. This isn’t a statement of egotism, just a fact she has grown up with. She stands at a modest 5’ 9”, a bit on the taller side for a girl, but not tall enough to be considered a freakish Amazon. Her long arms and legs and slender body compliment her height fairly well, but make her look slightly out of proportion. In comparison to her limbs, Cori’s torso is slightly on the shorter side, and her washboard figure detracts slightly from her appeal. Instead of blossoming into the world of curvy young teenage girls, Cori never gained any chest, hips, or bottom, she remained trim and flat, no matter what exercises and foods she consumed. Unfortunately for her the same metabolism that keeps her skinny also detracts from any semblance of a supermodel physique.
However, Cori has some appeal unique to her. She is one of the few exotic blue-eyed brunettes in the world, and she flaunts that privilege for all its worth. Not only is it a genetic rarity, but she found that most people are entranced by that in addition to her easily tanned skin. She uses the muscles she’s gained through sports on top of her eyes, skin tone, and long, slender legs to improve upon her appearance as much as possible… or at least until she grows some hips and chest.
As far as her fashion sense goes, Cordelia is your average girl. She loves dresses and bikinis and tight things that she feels boost her womanly appeal. Cute things and prints are a must, but animal furs are a definite no. No matter what she wears, she finds some way to personalize the outfit. Some examples of these personalizations are a bikini top with cargo pants, a modest cat bell around her neck, bows, hats, layering shirts, or even just dressing with a mass of belts around her waist, most of which have no use what-so-ever. However, Cori also has a rather rough side as well. She is a fan of music and all the fashions of bands. As such she’s not afraid to imitate some of the more wild fashions – by completely frizzing her hair to an afro shape or by switching from prep to rocker in the matter of a day – all in all, her fashion is unique and random. She doesn’t fit into one simple “fashion group” and instead likes to jump from group to group.
However, despite Cori’s slightly haphazard fashion sense, there are a few things that have been carried on through genetics and such that play a major role in her general appearance. No matter where Cori goes or what she’s dressed in, she always seems to maintain a sense of elegance. She could be wearing a clown suit but she would still be wearing a modest amount of make-up and walking with her head held high. Such is the result of being brought up in a family of politicians, breaching into the world of politics and parties since she was a young girl. She knows her manners and as such, she knows what poise and elegance are, and no matter what she can’t get rid of those teachings.personality

General Overview
Although Cori might seem like a perfect, bubbly, bouncy teenaged girl, she really isn’t. Sure she’s hyper enough to keep the energy going at a party, and sure she’s always looking on the bright side of things, but that’s only the face she puts on for the public. Deeper down, she’s just as full of drama and turmoil as any other teenager out there, with a few unique quirks here and there. So first, lets tackle her outward personality.
Cori is a helpful person. She will throw her own feelings away in an instant to help someone in need either physically or emotionally. If a friend calls her crying, she’ll be at their door as soon as possible, wanting to help them. However, there are some slightly selfish reasons for her doing this. While she does genuinely want to help, Cori has a burning desire to be in the loop of just about everything. She doesn’t, however, spread rumors or gossip, she just likes knowing because it makes things easier. There’s just something about knowing just about everything that gives Cori a sense of power, an insight to the other side of a person’s issue. Say, if someone was mad at another person, knowing both sides could help her fix whatever issue is going on through small pushes in just the right direction. In that sense, Cori is a bit manipulative, but its always for a good cause. She can’t hurt someone on purpose, and when she hurts people on accident she puts her whole into fixing the problem.
In addition to being helpful, Cordelia has the amazing ability to let things slide off of her. For example, if someone spreads gossip about her she won’t be mad or embarrassed, and she definitely won’t break down crying in front of everyone. Instead, she’ll laugh it off and go about her business as usual, even going so far as to being nice to the person that started the rumor. However, that doesn’t mean it doesn’t hurt. Most of the time she’ll break down in private or among her closest friends, and if the words spoken against her hurt enough she does have it in her to retaliate, but that is always a last resort, and she hates doing it. Most of the time she sits people down and talks things out with them, clearing up both sides of the story. When it just seems that negotiation won’t work at all and the individual is completely bent on hating her, she’ll just shrug and let it go. Her philosophy: it’s just not worth it.
Now, the last of her main outward personality traits is the fact that she is always, always hyper, and rather quirky. Cori will wear ridiculous clothing because she wants to, and doesn’t let the stares and whispers get to her. Instead, she will just bounce around, joke, and just generally ooze energy. She’s been known to talk about nothing for hours when she’s in one of her more talkative moods, but as soon as she sees someone wants to say something she will instantly stop talking. She’s not one to talk over people, but if you don’t interrupt her, she will not stop talking. Also, she’s always happy to make people laugh, and will stoop to no lows in order to do so to cheer someone up. In that sense, she can get annoying to those who don’t know her, but she genuinely tries her hardest to make friends and to be fun to be around.
Now… there are a few things to never do around Cori under penalty of something close to death. See… as much as Cori will try to never hurt anyone, there are two things that can be the exception to this rule. One… is waking her up early, of just waking her up after she begins a well deserved sleep. Cordelia is not a morning person. She will be mean and say things that hurt the most when she’s woken up. However, this doesn’t necessarily happen all the time. Only if, say, she was up all night and finally is going to bed, only to be woken up minutes in by a friend coming in the room. Also, when she hasn’t gotten enough sleep the night before, she can be rather grumpy in the morning, and her sarcasm when she gets like that is enough to make even the toughest skinned people wince. The other thing you must never do to Cori is either insult her family or insult her friends. There are only a select few people in the world that Cori hates, and when she hates someone, she will not find it hard AT ALL to thoroughly pick them apart, but that’s only in retaliation. If someone picks on her friend in front of her, she will pick back, if not she won’t go looking for trouble, she usually just studiously ignores those she hates.
Finally, while Cori does seem perfectly happy, she has always been very family oriented. As such, she sometimes lapses into reflected silence, yearning for the bustle of home and faces so remarkably similar to hers running around everywhere. In particular, she misses Aaron. While she’s dealing rather well with her friend’s death, she does have a necklace he gave her that she wears almost every day, and every now and then she can be found just staring out the window while holding a hand to her throat, or even just looking down at the necklace with a nostalgic smile on her face. At those times, its slightly hard to get her attention, and when you do it will probably take her a while to fully snap out of whatever zone she was in.

HISTORY:
On June 17th fifteen years ago, a child was brought into this world crying, screaming, and perfectly healthy. She was born to a then lawyer named Matthew Johnson and his second wife of merely four years, Camilla Johnson-Adair. However, this wasn’t the happy couple’s first child, no. It was their fifth. Camilla and Matthew both had one child apiece from their previous marriage, and only a few months after their marriage Camilla was pregnant with the first two Johnson-Adairs, fraternal twins Courtney and Jefferson. However, this many children did not at all put a damper on the Johnson-Adair’s spending and income. Instead, it somehow managed to rocket them forward. Within a year of Cordelia’s birth Matthew was elected a Senator and launched into the world of high-end politics, eventually becoming an ambassador to France, his wife’s home country. Within that time the Johnson-Adairs had their last child for a while, Kale Johnson-Adair, three years younger than Cordelia.
Now, during that time the Johnson-Adairs were obviously working on moving ahead with their political career, and no matter how dedicated they were to their children, they had to call in some assistance. Fortunately enough, Camilla’s cousin Jameson Adair had a child just a year older than Cordelia, and being an extraordinarily hyper adult he had the ability to watch after the troublesome twins, Cordelia, his own son, and Kale when he was born. It probably had something to do with how Aaron, Jameson’s son, was unnaturally level headed for a young child, and usually ended up distracting Cordelia while Jameson dealt with the twins and Kale.
Now, Cori was your average curious young girl, and since Aaron was closest to her age and even more quiet and knowledgeable than her hyperactive siblings, she instantly took after him like a little duckling following its mother. She did everything with him, just following him around and laughing at things. For the first few weeks he and Jameson moved in with the Johnson-Adairs Aaron basically ignored Cori, just letting her follow him around. However, after a while of blindly following him around, the young seven year old managed to break through Aaron’s shy shell and the two started bonding. Perhaps the most influential part of this was one day, only a few days before her eighth birthday, during a freak thunderstorm.
Cori, for whatever reason, has never been a fan of loud noises. They startle her at times, and when its especially loud and sudden they outright terrify her. As such, during the rather close thunderstorm that day, she was sent scrambling into the corner of her closet, huddling with a stuffed animal and waiting out the storm, tears on her cheeks. Aaron, who was with his father and Matthew at the time, was told to go check on her. Confused, since the two adults found it rather amusing and didn’t tell him why he needed to go find Cori, Aaron was, needless to say, at a loss of what to do when he found the girl stuffed in her closet, crying pitifully. However, determined to help his cousin, he sat down right next to her, and after a few more thunderclaps he started to tell her a story. A story about a cat who rode on the back of storm clouds, and how lightning was just a way he could get down from the clouds. From that day on, Cori fell in love with the cat in Aaron’s stories, and the character seemed to take on a life of his own. Whenever Cori was upset or whenever they were out exploring or just watching the stars, Aaron would tell her another story about the cat and his bravery, and Cori would laugh and fall in love with the nimble cat all over again.
This pattern lasted until Cordelia was thirteen years old, and by then it was too late for her to be told it was not only illegal to fall in love with your relative, but it was also something that would induce an entire family shunning you, hating you, calling you sick. It was too late, because over the years she had fallen in love with Aaron, but unfortunately, such things never work outside the realm of fiction. Jameson, seeing the absolute adoration Cori had for her cousin, and knowing that as her parents were too busy with their careers to really teach her otherwise, started to worry. Under closer observation, he could see his own son becoming swayed by the girl, something which truly troubled him. Thinking only of the two’s future, he sadly took his leave of the Johnson-Adair household, taking his son with him. Tearfully, the Johnson-Adairs stood in their driveway, seeing them off. However, just as they pulled out from the driveway a horn blared, and the rest was the headline of the next day’s paper: “Tragic crash claims life of son, father survives but is in critical condition”.
Cordelia spent an entire year silent. She refused to speak to anyone, barely ate, and kept to herself, quietly in mourning for her closest friend, a boy she didn’t know she couldn’t love. Eventually, over time, things faded. Her memories became fuzzy as they became too painful to think about, and after a year of moping around school and home, she realized that if Aaron could see her and who she had become he would have whacked her over the head and pushed her in the pool. As such, she let her love for Aaron die out until he was merely a fond memory of a dear friend, and a crisis in the making was averted at the cost of a young boy’s life. However, even now, Cori merely thinks about Aaron as one would think about a brother or a friend, and she doesn’t do so with sadness in her heart, she does so with fondness.
However, things were still going to change for Cori. Matthew, after seeing his daughter suffer for a little over a year, set out to find a place that he thought could “help” her, as he believed her newfound happiness was just an act. It was then that he discovered the Somnium Academy. Paying as much as he could and then some, Matthew secured Cori a spot in the Academy, and as soon as she turned fifteen he marched her butt over there to start her first year. Cori, as always, took everything in stride and decided to face the new year with a positive outlook, and as such, she
dream form
Cori’s dream from is… well… rather interesting. She takes on the form of a cat. Not a giant cat and not a cat human hybrid, but a simple cat. Well, not entirely simple. See, she has these… wings that pop out of the cat’s back, even though she thinks they merely get in the way and never actually uses them to fly. In addition to the wings, Cori’s cat form is also different from most cats because of the coloring. Instead of the normal colors, Cori has a base fur color of silver grey with splashes of red markings and designs naturally on the fur. As such, she is convinced that this form is something she doodled as a child. However, the color and wings aren’t the strangest parts of her dream form. No, the strangest parts are the inexplicable ability to speak and the fact that her form is actually male.
Now, this doesn’t mean that Cori is actually into girls or wants to be a guy, no, this is simply because of something her subconscious remembers while she can’t exactly pull up all the details. When she was little a very important person to her told her stories about a cat who flew across the skies, saving people and playing with children. While it was just a bedtime story to make her feel better and laugh, she unconsciously started equating this “cat” to that person. However, when this person (who was Aaron, her cousin and closest relative and friend) passed away, she buried most of her intimate memories of him and thus the stories of the cat faded away even more than most of her earlier memories. However, she never truly forgot about the cat, and when she first acquired her dream form it resurfaced, and although she doesn’t know exactly where it comes from, she still feels safe and even brave in the form.
