Tetroneaque woke up to utter blackness. This was odd, as he was sure he had just fallen asleep on a nice sunny roof in town. It shouldn't have been dark yet. Also he never had trouble seeing in the dark. He started to panic.
"Oh God I've gone blind! Ahhhhhh! Someone help me!" He started to scream, flailing his arms about. He noticed he seemed to be in some sort of enclosed space full of soft items, making it rather hard to flail.
Where am I!?! What's going on!?! Why can't I see anything!?! His train of thought stopped then as something very distressing came to him. He could only feel one of his three tails. Now, a kitsune's tails were very important. Most would rather lose their foot or a hand then one of their tails.
"WHERE ARE MY OTHER TWO TAILS!?!" He shrieked in utter terror. He simply continued to scream over and over again. One could easily hear his screaming coming from the clothing drawer where he was trapped.

It was a Saturday afternoon and Matt needed him some liquefied entertainment. He had not shaved for the past two days just for that specific purpose. No one would dare to even consider not serving him at the local pub now, they would all be too flabbergasted by the power of his magnificent and mighty muzzle. They would think 'how could a mere boy grow such manly facial hair?' and serve him instantaneously. Nodding with satisfaction at the thought, Matt made his way up towards the girls' dormitories. He was planning to give Carmen a knock to see whether she wanted to join him in exploiting his current beard for the purpose of alcohol purchasing, and then the later consumption of said purchased alcohol.
Of course he was given a number of strange looks by the younger girls as he walked past. They obviously thought he was some sort of sex pest coming to the girls' dormitories to ogle at young flesh. The scraggly bearded look had the tendency to make a perfectly normal seeming young man appear a wanton sexual criminal. Matt's style of clothing (crinkled, unkempt and overly frayed) didn't help much to stray him away from the criminal look either. Thank heavens he didn't wear unfashionable eighties-style, thick-rimmed glasses; that would definitely have been the clincher.
It was when he was at the door of Carmen's room that he heard the screaming. Not a female scream either but a throaty, masculine one. It was also accompanied with words, something to do with going blind and lacking tails. Wondering what the hell was going on Matt abruptly opened the door only to find himself standing in an empty room. the screaming, however, was still going strong. Oddly enough it seemed to be coming from the chest of drawers by Carmen's bed. What had the girl been doing in here? Tying up midgets and shoving them in cabinets?
Warily, Matt tiptoed over to the drawer and slowly placed his fingers around the handle. Breathing in a deep lung-full of air he counted to three in his head, and on the number three he yanked the drawer open with such force that it fell free from the chest of drawers entirely. There, amidst a jumble of Carmen's underwear, was a cuddly fox toy... and it was screaming its cotton lungs out.
"WHAT THE BAJEESUS?!" Matt yelled, so startled he tripped backwards and fell to the floor with a thud.

Tetroneaque stopped screaming as a sudden burst of light filled his eyes, temporarily blinding him. It was only a moment though as his toy eyes didn't really need to adjust to the light. He looked around himself, noticing some of the largest underwear he'd ever seen. He was certainly confused now. He seemed to be inside some sort of drawer or box.
He peeked over the edge just in time to hear a giant yell 'WHAT THE BAJEESUS!?!'. It echoed what Tetroneaque wished to yell pretty much perfectly.
"Scruffy Giant!" Tetroneaque yelled as he pointed at Matt. Even in his terror and confusion he couldn't help but issue a nickname on the spot.
"Stay away! I won't let you eat me!" Tetroneaque started tossing the only items nearby, which happened to be girl's underwear. The air was soon filled with underwear flying at Matt as the possessed toy did it's best to keep Matt from getting back to his feet.

Matt barely had enough time to fully appreciate the immense bizarreness of the situation before the toy began to yell some more. This time it was yelling at him, pointing towards him with its podgy cotton hand and calling him a 'Scruffy Giant'. Well Matt had to agree with the former part of that insult, he was sporting the somewhat homeless look that afternoon, but the latter was not right at all! Matt was perfectly normally sized, it was this bloody fox thing that was small. It was a freaking toy for God sake, it shouldn't be insulting him in any way at all! Yelling was another things toys really didn't do, but this toy was still doing it.
"I'm not going to eat you!" Matt yelled back, or at least he tried to but his words were muffled when a pair of Carmen's panties hit him in the face. The toy sure had aim, and one hell of a throw. Bras and knickers were souring towards Matt's face.
"I'm not going to eat you," he repeated in between dodging lingerie. "You're made of bloody fluff!" Batting the underwear from his face as if he were batting away annoying birds, Matt finally managed to get to his feet and began striding over towards the toy. Once he reached it he leant down in an attempt to pick it up.

"Stay back Scruffy Giant!" Tetroneaque shouted in fear. As Matt bent down to pick him up, the little stuffed toy bit the human as hard as he could. Of course being made of cotton, felt, and other soft materials he had all the sting of a sock puppet. Having failed to do anything with his tiny toy teeth, Tetroneaque hopped out of the drawer and scampered across the room before the giant could grab him.
He ran under the bed, hoping that Scruffy Giant wouldn't be able to squeeze under there. He pushed himself up against the wall, as far from the edge of the bed as possible. Now that he had a moment to think he took a look at his hands. They were all, soft. Well softer than they should be, and seemed stitched on. In fact he could see where he was sewn together. His hands weren't even the correct color of fur anymore!
"Ahhhhh! What did you do to me!?!" Tetroneaque shouted from under the bed. He tried to use his magic powers, but nothing came to him. It was as if he wasn't magic at all anymore! The little possessed toy was very close to freaking out completely.

outfit, yo
This morning had been a bit of a hassle, though Carmen was certain that she had taken it in stride. She'd woken up far too early and felt far too sick for comfort, which had led her to spend most of the morning in the bathroom, until she was fairly certain that she'd puked up enough of her illness to feel better. Fortunately, this had motivated her to run to the store and buy some essentials, so she'd dressed and set out.
Carmen didn't exactly enjoy spending every waking hour of her life in her dorm, so it wasn't really a big thing that she had left this time, though it was only to go shopping. However, had she realized what was going to occur in her absence, she might not have. Either that, or she would have not returned at all, which would probably have been the better course of action, really.
Unfortunately, she was unaware of the events that were transpiring as she made her way up to the third floor via the stairs and so she had no foresight of what was going to greet her. She could have assumed that, by leaving, she was leaving room for disaster to occur, but who really thinks that way? Certainly not Carmen and, thus, as she made it to her room, she was definitely noy expecting the disaster that ended up greeting her.
From outside, she could hear shouting, and that sort of worried her, but what really worried her was the fact that the shouting sounded like Matt. Oh god. If he had come in to sleep with Artemis or something, she was really going to punch him in the face. Hard. With a sigh, she fumbled her key into the lock, pushing the door open when it finally clicked.
Somehow, she missed the shout from under the bed, but there was no real way that she could miss the fact that her underwear was all over the room or that Matt was in the middle, covered in it. Eyebrows flying up, she surveyed the room, eyes finally landing on Matt.
"....Whatcha doooin'?" she asked, somehow managing to sound calm despite the fact that it looked like a tornado was brewing right before her very eyes. A tornado of her underpants.

Tetroneaque couldn't help but hear the arrival of a second giant. He warily peeked his head out from under the bed only to see a female giant. His eyes drifted pass her though toward the open door. He saw a chance and decided to take it. He had to get away!
"Freedom!" Tetroneaque cried as he ran right between Carmen's legs and toward the door. Unfortunately he still wasn't quite accustomed to his soft cottony body yet and tripped on Carmen's shoes as he tried to pull off his maneuver. He landed flat on his face and skidded toward the door. He didn't feel any pain from a fall though, it was like his whole body simply absorbed the force of the fall like some sort of sponge.
He started to scramble toward the open door on all fours, hoping he'd make it out of the room and away from the two giants.

The door had opened before Matt had a chance to grab at the stupid fox toy thing. Whirling around so fast it made his head dizzy, he blushed to see Carmen standing at the doorway, a shocked and appalled look on her face. He really shouldn't have been that surprised she was there, it was his room after all and he was currently standing in the middle of it, completely uninvited. He also had Carmen's underwear still clung upon his shoulder (damn static electricity) and lain in a halo by his feet. Obviously the girl had every right to look shocked and appalled. Matt probably looked like some sort of stalker who enjoyed dancing around under a confetti of lingerie.
Before he had a chance to explain himself (though how he was going to go about doing that was anyone's guess) a flurry of little cotton paws ran past his legs. It seemed that fox toy was attempting to make a beeline for the now open door. It didn't quite manage however, and instead tripped over Carmen's foot. Obviously still adamant on escape it began to crawl towards the door instead. In a flash, forgetting entirely about providing Carmen with an explanation, Matt bolted over and grabbed the toy round its midriff.
"Gotcha!" he yelled, pride etched across his face as he held the thing tightly in his grips.

"Let me go you Scruffy Giant!" Tetroneaque yelled as he squirmed around in his captor's grip. He was surprisingly nimble for a stuffed toy, but not quite nimble enough to escape Matt's clutches.
"Release me at once!" Tetroneaque added as he started to gnaw on the human's hands with all the fury of a sock puppet. His soft, tiny, teeth had absolutely no effect whatsoever. Seeing his bites have no effect he started to slam his cottony paws down on the hand holding him, again with little effect.
Tetroneaque started to sob, but no tears formed, as he had no tear ducts as a toy.
"Just make it a quick death at least. Don't make me suffer!" The little fox toy sounded so sad and pitiful at this point it was hard not to feel sorry for the little guy.

Carmen fully intended to sit there and force Matt to give her an explanation for what was clearly a bout of insanity, but her plan was circumvented by a tiny, furry thing running out from under her bed and between her legs. She had about half a second to ponder whether or not she should have worn pants instead of a skirt before she was being tripped over. She was intending, again, to look down and figure out wtf was going on when, instead, Matt circumvented this plan by leaping. All she could really do whilst this craziness went on was stand and stare, a bit bemused. Had she been the one to discover whatever it was that was running, she might have been far more shocked. But as it was, she was sort of attributing it to some weird illness-mindset.
When Matt had finally caught the little beast, she walked over, still looking a little bemused. That is, until, she realized what it was that he was holding onto and her bemusement turned into general confusion. Her brows furrowed together and, after glancing at the toy fox for a few seconds, she turned to Matt. His pride was evident, which meant that he could also hear and see this talking fox and, thus, she was not hallucinating. Either that, or he was part of her hallucination and this was all just some crazy dream.
"Ummm," she said, glancing back down at the screaming fox and ignoring its wails. After all, she was fairly traumatized as well. It wasn't every day that your Christmas present suddenly decided to start talking. And screaming. And running. "What the hell is going on?" She probably should have directed that question at the fox, but the fact that it was a stuffed toy was still sort of etched in her brain so, instead, she directed it at Matt. "Am I high right now?" she demanded, pulling her cigarettes out of her purse. She would not normally have done so in the dorm but, all things considered, she felt like she deserved one.

"I told you, I'm not going to eat you!" Matt yelled at the fox toy who seemed to be currently going through an existential crisis. Well it made sense he supposed. Toys don't usually burst into life, and Matt could imagine the very low proportion of toys that do would have perfect rights to question their own existence. "And I'm not going to kill you either."
How would one go about killing a stuffed animal anyway? Would it really matter if Matt tore off the fox's head? Of course he wasn't going to do it, he wasn't a monster, but still there was nothing wrong with being curious about such things. It wasn't every day he had the chance to ponder situations like this.
Matt turned to Carmen, who was staring wide-eyed at the toy. "I have no idea," he answered. "It's not my fox thing." Really it should be Carmen who ought to be providing explanations. A person really ought to know whether their cuddly toy was enchanted or not. Perhaps she hadn't read the instructions.
"And you're not high," he replied before pausing a moment to think. "Unless I'm high too..." Turning his attention back to the fox toy that was still cowering in grips, Matt squinted his eyes as if doing so would somehow dispel all hallucinations and leave him with an empty hand. It didn't work, however, the fox thing remained squirming in his fingers.

"You're not going to kill me?" Tetroneaque asked again just to be sure as he uncovered his eyes. He looked up at Scruffy Giant again and the fellow didn't look like he was lying. Of course he wasn't used to gauging the reactions of giants. In any case, both of the giants looked rather baffled about him being here. Perhaps this was all just some big misunderstanding.
"You know, I too am a bit confused as to what I'm doing here. Neither of you kidnapped me right? I think I would have remembered being kidnapped by a couple of giants." He said as he placed one paw under his chin as if deep in thought. Try as he might, the last thing he remembered was falling asleep on a nice warm rooftop back in the village of Demens.
"Where am I exactly?" He suddenly asked, figuring that if he knew that much he might be able to figure out the rest.

As a general rule, seeing your best guy friend yell at your stuffed fox tended to be a bit unnerving, but Carmen was still so totally flabbergasted that she couldn't put together any such complex thoughts or emotions. Instead, she remained bemused and slightly perplexed as she sidled over to him to peer at the fox he had trapped.
Upon observation, she realized that the fox was, in fact, the one that her father had given to her the Christmas previous. What it was doing in her underwear drawer [which was where she assumed they had found it], she didn't know, but whatever. The fact that it was talking was far too absurd for her to logically be able to come up with any other explanation.
"Well, that's creepy," she said upon the realization that she was not mentally impaired in any way. Of course, this all could have been one huge hallucination, but she doubted that. "And you're the one holding it, so I'm pretty sure it's your fault." This obviously was perfect reasoning; Carmen was very logical.
She was so logical, in fact that, as the fox started talking again, she turned to Matt looking calculating. Without a word, just to check if she was, in fact, hallucinating, she kicked Matt in the shin. Not quite as hard as she could, to be sure, but definitely not lightly, though she assumed that Matt could handle it.
That order of business taken care of, she turned back to the fox and peered him down, holding an unlit cigarette.
"We'll tell you where you are if you tell us WHO you are," she said, sticking it in her mouth despite its current lack of functionality.

"Who am I? That's easy enough. I'm Tetroneaque Swiftpaw Tailchaser! Pardon me for not making a more formal introduction but some people seemed intent on killing me." Tetroneaque stated as he cast a side glare toward Matt. He couldn't quite place his paw on the reason for it, but he just didn't like Matt.
"I woke up confined in some tiny prison full of lacy undergarments, and as you might imagine I was a bit... surprised and may or may not have cried out in my confusion. Then Scruffy here came in here, opened the drawer and started raving like a loon. I thought he was going to kill me!" That was how he remembered things anyway, and therefore it was the correct way to recall events.
"Now can you please set me down so we can discuss things like civil, sentient, beings?" He asked as he crossed his fluffy little arms in front of his chest. He was quite curious as to why his body was so different than when he fell asleep, and his current location among other things. The easiest way to get to the bottom of things was to simply ask.

Matt rolled his eyes when the fox toy, or Tetro-whatchamajigger Tailwaver, accused him once again for attempted murder. How many times had that been now? Though he hadn't bothered to count Matt was sure it was a lot of times. Hell, he had never been accused of attempted murder so often in such a short period of time. Although, now that he really thought about it, he was pretty sure that he had never been accused of attempted murder ever before. Well he supposed there was a first time for everything.
"Fine, whatever," Matt said, dropping the fox somewhat ungraciously onto Carmen's pillow and folding his arms in a huff. He wondered whether throwing the fox across the room would hurt the thing in anyway. It was only made of fluff after all, so it couldn't really get hurt because it didn't have any pain receptors. It would be a completely victim-less action.
"Well..." Matt began, shaking the thought of whacking Tetro-whatchamajigger around a bit out of his head. There was an issue to contend to first. Like what the hell the toy was doing talking and moving and being generally alive. "I found you in Carmen's underwear drawer, and now you're out of Carmen's underwear drawer and sitting on her bed."

"So, I assume she must be Carmen." Tetroneaque stated as he bounced up and down on Carmen's bed. He found the gigantic bed (at least for someone his size), to be a great source of amusement suddenly. It was like a gargantuan, fluffy, trampoline. He jumped around on it, totally forgetting about the two humans currently staring at him for a few moments.
"Okay, so you two don't want to kill me now. Which I must say I am most grateful for. So what do you two want with me? I don't recall coming to rest inside her underwear drawer, and going to sleep inside a lady's underwear drawer is something I am quite certain I would remember." He continued to bounce around on the bed as he spoke, seemingly unable to sit still for any extended period of time.

"Yeah, I'm Carmen," she said, removing the unlit stick from her mouth to speak again. This whole situation was so totally absurd, she wasn't sure if she was even awake. Which meant she still felt a little guilty lighting up inside. So, instead of teasing herself, she just let the cigarette stay between her fingers and by her side.
"Alright, Tetroneaque Swiftwhatever. I don't know how you got into my stuffed fox, but I got that for Christmas last year and it's been in my underwear drawer ever since an old roommate took a fancy to it." She brandished the cigarette at him, determined to not smoke it or throttle the stuffed toy for putting her room in disarray. Or Matt, for that matter.
The fact that he was the one on her bed, bouncing about while she should have been resting pleasantly, was sort of irking her a bit. So, without another word, she plopped herself down in his bouncing path and pressed a hand onto his back. That should do the trick.
"No one wanted to kill you," she carried on, surprised that she could be so totally calm whilst having a conversation with a stuffed fox. "We are just as startled as you are." Good god. She was obviously under some sort of influence. That was the only logical explanation.

Tetroneaque listened intently to Carmen, all the while appearing aloof. It wasn't until she sat down and placed her hand on him that he stopped bouncing. He grabbed onto Carmen's fingers with his soft stuffed paws and peered at her.
"So, you don't know how I came to be here or why I'm apparently possessing your toy." He stated as he tapped one paw on his chin, and continued to grip Carmen's finger with the other.
"Well this is quite odd. The last thing I remember before waking up here, was falling asleep on a nice warm roof in Demens. There wasn't a lot going on, so a nap seemed like a good idea. Maybe I pissed off some sorcerer or something and now they're getting me back by putting my mind in a toy. I don't remember any sorcerers of the potency being angry with me though..." He trailed off as he thought out loud. It was odd not knowing how one got somewhere after waking up in a strange place. He idly mused that this must be similar to how drunks felt when they woke up in odd locations.
"So what part of the Dream World is this? Maybe I can find my real body somewhere nearby." He simply blurted that out, assuming he was still in the Dream World.

"Dream World?" Matt repeated, looking at the fox with his eyebrows raised. "So that's where you're from!" The situation was all making sense to him now... well actually, to be entirely honest, it wasn't. But at least it was making more sense than a few minutes prior when he had first discovered the moving, talking, biting (albeit rather uselessly) fox toy in Carmen's underwear drawer.
"This isn't the Dream World," Matt explained matter-of-factly. He still didn't quite trust Tetro-whatchamajigger, but he supposed he had a tendency to distrust most small, furry talking things--like his Uncle Humbert. "You have to be dreaming to be in the Dream World and I'm not dreaming. Or at least I don't think I am." He turned to Carmen who was still staring at the fox as if he were some sort of hallucination. Matt didn't blame her.
"Anyhoo," he continued, turning back to Tetro-whatchamajigger. "This is what we real people call the Real World. Look--" Matt waved his hands around in the space in front of him, "it's all 3D and shiz."

Tetroneaque's little stitched on ears perked up at what Matt was saying. His eyes went wide and his tail began to wag furiously. Tetroneaque sprang up and did a midair twirl while shouting with glee.
"Haha! Yes! I did it! I finally did it! I made it into the other world! Hahaha!" He continued his little celebration until he noticed the two humans staring at him. He stopped hopping again and settled down and returned their looks as if he had nothing out of the ordinary.
"Well, ahem, yes... it seems I managed to enter your world from the Dream World. I must admit things have not gone exactly as I planned, but its a start." He stated, trying his best not to squeal with glee at this point. The huge grin on his face was impossible to hide though.
